Mike:  Can you cue up the Chelsea Clinton digital media file for me?  It’s not all death, mayhem, and destruction.  There is new life and there are things to celebrate — of course, every day when we wake up and God blesses us with another day to enjoy life, friends, family, and, yes, confrontation and the vicissitudes of life, those are beautiful things.  I just wanted to play this for you.  I heard this this morning and, I have to confess, I was taken aback.  I had to hear it again.  When I heard it a second time, I went: Hmm, I think that bears repeating.  You’re going to hear a digital media file, a quick clip, from the daughter of Bill and Hillary Clinton.  This is Chelsea Clinton.  She’s asked the question about the baby that she is currently carrying.  You pro-lifers and Christians out there, listen to this response and tell me if this sounds familiar.

Chelsea Clinton: There are so few mysteries in life for even which any answer is a happy one. My husband and I decided that we would enjoy this mystery for the nine-plus months that we were granted. We are eager to find out what God will have given us.

Male: But isn’t it strange that the doctors around you know what you don’t know?

Clinton: No. I think the doctors around me know lots of things that I don’t know.

Mike:  Chelsea, what are these mysteries that you speak of?  This is 2014, my dear.  We have iPhones and Samsung phones and satellites delivering media.  There are no mysteries.  Of course, there are mysteries in the Christian religions.  Didn’t Chelsea sound downright Christian?  She’s willing to let the mystery play out naturally?  I am impressed.  She is anxiously awaiting what God is going to bless her and her husband with?  I am impressed.  Give the girl a round of applause.  [mocking] “Come on, Mike, she’s to be hated.  She’s Clinton’s daughter.”  That’s your problem right there.  You cannot see beyond the political affiliation.  Yeah, I know Clinton was a despicable bastard, and I say that in quotation marks because he was.  That’s just heartening to hear.
