Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – If you’re not encouraging and elevating, pointing out and making great those that exercise obedience to the enforceable and try to be more virtuous and values-oriented, Christian or Judeo Christian in their daily life, then what do you expect you’re going to get?  You’re going to get the rule of man.  You’re going to get Christina Romans on CNN can determine when someone is good or bad.  You’re going to get that Soledad O’Brien gets to determine when someone is good or bad.  When you have no transcendent — transcendent being God, something that transcends this life and to the next life — when you have no transcendent, no valuation of a transcendent, no influence of a transcendent, then you’re going to get the rule and judgment of men.  Obama and Mrs. Clinton and all the rest of them get to sit in value judgment of what is good and what is not good, instead of relying on the age-old and that which cannot be revoked, which is God’s law.  You can’t revoke that. Check out the rest in today’s transcript…

AG:  It is embarrassing that that many people are reliant on government.  Or that message, once again, is it going to get portrayed as demonizing those people that they can’t do anything about it.  It is embarrassing that we have that many people that rely on their living ability on the government dole.  I just wonder if saying something like that ultimately hurts him more because it will continue the narrative that he’s out of touch and unrelatable to the “common man.”

Mike:  Right, he just doesn’t get it.  He doesn’t understand that they need to experience sloth, that they need to experience plunder and the transfer of one man’s wealth from his or her pocket to theirs.  I think that’s what’s embarrassing, not so much that you have a time in your country’s or even your city or state’s history that it goes through rough times.  The vicissitudes of life are going to happen, big deal.  What is embarrassing — I’m trying to think of who the philosopher or sage was that said it is not how people are measured that they find themselves in extraordinary circumstances or extraordinarily oppressive circumstances, it is how they deal with those circumstances and how they respond to those circumstances.  Mike in Colorado, you’re on.  How are you?

Caller Mike:  Good morning, Mike.  How are you?  I really enjoy your show.  I just wanted to say one of the best things I think Romney could say that would at least make us introspective is to just ask the press the question, “What’s more selfish, a man trying to keep what he’s legally earned or somebody else trying to take it from him who hasn’t earned it?”  I guess Americans just feel better about it if the government does it for them.  We don’t feel so guilty or some kind of silliness like that.

Mike:  So you know your neighbor’s house is being ransacked and robbed.  Because you’re not the person doing it, you’re okay with it?

Caller Mike:  I’m not okay with it.

Mike:  No, no, no.  I’m repeating what you just said.

Caller Mike:  Absolutely.

Mike:  I’m putting it in more fluid terms, my friend.

Caller Mike:  Exactly.  I don’t get it.  Out of the New Testament, you could pull simple precepts, fire them back out and let the other side answer for it.  Let not just Obama but every American answer in their heart.

Mike:  They don’t have hearts.  They have cold, fake facades of hearts.  When you believe that charity is executed by empowering men with guns and jails to steal from those that have earned wealth in order for that wealth to be transferred to those that have done absolutely nothing to earn it other than figure out how to fill the form out, send it in and stand by the mailbox and wait for the transfer of wealth to come in.  This is really a sad state of nature that we find ourselves in.  We’ve got so many things upside down.  Bastiat told us this.  Plunder will always be preferred as long as it is safe and legal.  If you want to do something about this, you’re going to have to make plunder very dangerous and illegal.  You can figure out how to make that happen in your own mind.  That’s how I read Frédéric Bastiat, the great French writer.

Caller Mike:  It seems to me as well, and one of the things that really depresses me about the Republicans completely is they don’t even invoke the very document that was written that’s supposed to protect me from that kind of plunder.  I’m not a lawyer and I can understand the Constitution.  It’s pretty simply written and it’s pretty straightforward.  It’s not even invoked to protect us from that kind of theft, and that’s an easy one.  It’s not a sophisticated or deep legal argument.  I just don’t get it.  I guess we’re that far gone.  To me, it’s really depressing.

Mike:  If you’re not encouraging and elevating, pointing out and making great those that exercise obedience to the enforceable and try to be more virtuous and values-oriented, Christian or Judeo Christian in their daily life, then what do you expect you’re going to get?

Caller Mike:  Right, we should be a nation of laws and not men.  The laws of God never change.  Men change depending on what way the wind is blowing.  I’ll keep my chin up.  I sure love your program.  I listen every morning.

Mike:  I appreciate it.  Thank you.
