Mandeville, LA – O’ Lord, I so detest being right in predicting our perverted road to perdition. A judge in New York has officially sanctioned the marriage of an uncle and his niece saying that the practice was “legal until 1893” and besides there’s no “comparably strong objection to Uncle-niece” marriages anyway. Really? Would there be any “strong objection” if the Uncle was a 39 year old fornicator who wanted to extend the fun by including his 16 year old niece’s 16 year old best friend? Why not reverse the sexes and let the Aunt pretend she’s a school teacher? According to far too many Who Dats, there’s also no “strong objection” to adult women having threesomes with male minors and even if there was, aren’t we, in our modern enlightened condition, beyond the use of old, tacky, judeo-christian relationship rules, anyway?

Channeling Same Sex Marriage promoters, the appropriate response to all this should be “so long as they LOVE one another, why do I care if they marry?!” Of course nowadays the “they” can mean any combination of any gender at any age. If that’s not enough to make you book-it double time to St Patrick’s on Camp street and hit the confessional before the fireballs fall from the sky, I don’t know what is.

In his famous Confessions, St Augustine said of those -make it up as you go along- moralizers “let all those depart from me who imagine themselves to know as true what is false.” Augustine couldn’t have known that there would be a future Age where Truth would be openly mocked for the fleeting emotion of happiness, regardless of the moral price at which that happiness was purchased.

To the “gay marriage” crowd who have so loudly condemned their well-intentioned opponents I say. If ever you wondered what Hillary Roddom & Gammorah looked like, snap a selfie, you live in it.
