Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – There is no intelligent discourse, or there is very little.  The reason there is very little is because people would have to be intelligent and would have to acknowledge that they have an intellect in order to use it.  Most people don’t acknowledge it, and the reason they don’t acknowledge it is because they don’t acknowledge that there are two realms in which we experience this thing we call life.  Check out today’s transcript for the rest….

[/private] Begin Mike Church Show Transcript Mike:  I tried to use that opportunity to demonstrate as he was crying out for intelligent discourse.  This is 2015, my brothers and sisters.  There is no intelligent discourse, or there is very little.  The reason there is very little is because people would have to be intelligent and would have to acknowledge that they have an intellect in order to use it.  Most people don’t acknowledge it, and the reason they don’t acknowledge it is because they don’t acknowledge that there are two realms in which we experience this thing we call life.  There is the natural realm.  I touch the microphone.  I speak into the microphone.  That’s the natural realm.  When I think and when I try and use my intellect, when I seek truth – which is conformity of the mind to reality – or use my reason and then try to take the knowledge that I have gained through my senses, through phantasm or sensory experiences and try to apply that to wisdom if I’m seeking wisdom, that’s happening in my intellect.  My intellect is not inside my brain.  This is the error of modern thinking.  My intellect is here; it’s supernatural.  It’s not in your brain.  It can utilize your brain.  It’s not in your brain. Again, this is why Thomistic or scholastic or Aristotelean philosophy had to be murdered, had to be killed, had to be gotten rid of.  It’s not taught anywhere on Earth, save for the St. Augustine Institute with brother Andre Marie, through Brother Francis Maluf, a college or two in the middle part of the United States, and one that I know of in Europe.  That’s it.  In the golden age of faith in the middle of Christendom, it was taught everywhere.  As a matter of fact, there was nothing else that was taught.  If you were going to be a lawyer, you took philosophy.  If you were going to be a doctor, you took philosophy.  If you were going to be a priest – and many wanted to be priests, they wanted to seek vocation – you took philosophy, Thomistic, scholastic philosophy. If you desire for a return to these things, then you are, by proxy – this is a good proxy – you are then wishing for more people to learn to think properly.  The only way you can do that is through the study of philosophy.  That doesn’t mean everyone has to study it, it just means we just need more people to study it.  You can do that, by the bye.  Every Tuesday night – we’ll kick it back into high gear with the audio presentation this Tuesday night – in our philosophia perennis classroom at MikeChurch.com.  [mocking] “There he goes promoting himself again.”  I don’t make anything on this.  As a matter of fact, I lose.  Every time I come in here, I’m on the losing end if it’s financial gain you’re talking about.  I am losing.  I don’t view it that way; many people would.  I’m gaining knowledge, gaining fraternity, confraternity with dozens and dozens of wonderful people who know that seeking of the truth is how we get out of this mess. As Chris Ferrara said yesterday – he spoke a truth yesterday on this program.  If you missed it, it will be the clip of the day and also a transcript.  What he said was, at the end of the program, that it’s okay to run around and quote the Bible and quote this ecumenism and this denomination and this religious sect or belief or whatever you wish.  That’s not going to fix the problem.  There is a Magisterium.  There is a teaching.  Whether or not you accept the rest of the faith, accept the teaching.  It’s for your benefit.  It’s how Christendom was built, through that teaching.  It’s the only way Christendom will ever revive.  That’s the path.  If you deny that, you’re denying that Christendom was the product of Christ and of that Magisterium.  Does that mean you have to go and seek confirmation in the Roman Catholic Church tomorrow morning?  No, it does not.  You should, but you could still live the faith, especially when it comes to matters of life.
