When you look at society today, and everything that’s been going wrong – there seems to be one common theme: people just don’t care anymore!  For Mike, it can all be traced back to what we’re teaching – and not teaching kids these days.  “Can you name a modern movie or tv show where the guy does the ‘honorable’ thing when he gets a girl pregnant” Mike asked.  “I can only think of one – and they framed it as a comedy – that Seth Rogen movie, ‘Knocked Up.”

Mike went on to say that our society as completely lost touch with the “June Cleaver” ideal – where a child has two parents.  He added, “If you go back to old tv shows and read old books, people knew what honor meant, but what the hell does that mean now? What ever happened to the idea of ‘you make it-you own it?” And here’s the kicker for most people – Mike says none of what’s happening can be blamed on the ‘welfare state.’  He added, “The progressives knew [what they were planning] and until we stop stigmitazing the idea of taking responsiblity for what you do – this is what will continue to happen.”
