Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Audio and Transcript – We are micromanaged and governmentalized in a corrupt fashion just like they are in European countries that we so love to decry, just as they are in Canada as we so love to decry.  Are there differences?  Yes.  Are there bigger tyrannies in Europe than there are here?  I’m sure there are.  Are there bigger tyrannies against civil liberties than there are here in Europe?  I guarantee you there are.  We don’t want to talk about that.  We want to talk about our conditional surrender, basically.  Let’s wave the white flag and surrender.  Well, enjoy.  Some of us are going to man the ramparts for the rest of you that have surrendered.  We’ll hold the Gadsden Flag, and we actually mean holding the Gadsden Flag “Don’t Tread On Us.” Check out the rest in today’s audio and transcript…

Mike:  Mark in New Mexico.

Caller Mark:  Hey, Mike.  You’ve been talking about — I like the fair tax and I like the flat tax.  Either one are good as long as we reduce everything down to where the government is not sending us back a check every month or whatever the discount is.  That gives government the control.  I would go one step further and bring it back to the American people by a vote.  What I mean by that is let two-thirds, super majority, of both houses pass.  If they want to raise taxes, it has to be passed by a two-thirds majority, put on the President’s desk to sign or not to sign.  When he signs it, it goes into the congressional every two year ballot in every state and let the American people vote whether they want to raise our taxes or leave it as it is or reduce it.  Let us decide, not Congress.

Mike:  Well, Congress will be making the decision.

Caller Mark:  No.

Mike:  Yes.  What if Louisiana’s representatives vote no but the nitwits in Connecticut vote yes and by a bare slim one vote, two-thirds vote to tax at 85 percent?  That means the other one-third have to live under that tyranny?  This is the problem with this.  This is why Taylor of Caroline’s argument against the carriage tax is so powerful.  It doesn’t play this silly game, [mocking] “We ought to have a vote on this.”  My liberty is not going to be on your ballot.  I don’t want my liberty on your ballot.  When my liberty is on your ballot, I’ve already lost, because I have acquiesced and agreed that you have a say-so in snuffing out or usurping my freedoms, my liberties.

If I live in an ordered society, and if we have a government, it should be our absolute goal at every turn to only grant powers that are totally, 100 percent of the people agree must be in the hands of the awful power of government.  Government is evil.  It is awful.  It is bludgeoning, crippling fire, as Washington called it.  It is necessary, but you should only enumerate and vest those powers in it that I’d say 100 percent of the people agree that they don’t think private industry, communities, and individual citizens can execute the said task.  That would be a very short list, in my humble estimation, very, very short.  That’s the goal.

I know you’re well intentioned out there campaigning for the fair tax and flat tax and all these other taxes.  How they get to our money is not what is at issue here.  What is this surrender?  There was a call on hold earlier, [mocking] “I don’t know why you hold out here.  We’re not going to undo any of this.  We just need to make the best deal we can, and the best deal we can make right now is Romney-Ryan.”  Wow, that’s what’s happened to the great American patriot spirit.  We choose lesser of evil.  We choose evil.  We admit that we must choose evil.  That is our system.  Oh, but we’re the greatest country in the history of the known universe.  Well, I believe at one time that our government was the greatest, because it was the most limited and had the least amount of powers conferred to it.  That is not the case any longer.

We are micromanaged and governmentalized in a corrupt fashion just like they are in European countries that we so love to decry, just as they are in Canada as we so love to decry. We’ll hold the Gadsden Flag, and we actually mean holding the Gadsden Flag “Don’t Tread On Us.”
