Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Video and Audio – “Conserving the good parts of your past” is what our Founding Fathers did when they seceded from the King and Great Britian.  They weren’t fighting for a new found freedom, they already had freedom, they wanted to keep it, to conserve it. Independence Day should be a day to honor those men who fought to conserve our liberties, but we should also conserve the good parts of our own past, both individually and at a political level. Independence Day also shouldn’t be the only day of the year that we recognize the past, every day should be like that, every day we should try and conserve those good parts, that is what conservatism is really about.
