Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Video and Audio – Not since 1415 has a Pope stepped down from his position, well now in 2013, almost 600 years later, that has changed. Pope Benedict XVI has announced he will retire effective February 28 and a successor could be elected by Easter.  Usually a Pope serves until his death, obviously this is how history has done this for the last 600 years, but Pope Benedict is citing health reasons for stepping aside and letting someone else take over.  These are certainly extraordinary times we live in, especially since the formation of the Vatican II in the 1960’s when they took many of the traditional routines out of the Mass and replaced it with a much more modern and secular Mass.  For more on the Pope’s resignation and more news stories be sure and check out today’s Founder’s TV.

Here’s a few good sites on today’s news as well. http://wdtprs.com/blog/ (much better than Fr Jonathan. No offense to him just Fr Z is a fan of traditional ways).
