15 March, 2007 - It is painful and discouraging to witness the wholesale capitulation that is taking place among Republicans who can find few battles and fewer warriors that are worthy of their passional defense. Pity it is that King Leonidas is not with us today and bearing an “R” after his name.

In the last 15 days alone, the Right has offered up human and ideological sacrifices to the emerging American Stalinist Left and thus continued the latter's march to dominance here in the U.S. Lewis “Scooter” Libby, General William Pace, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and even Columnist and true, warrior Queen Ann Coulter. All have been worthy of our defense but instead got thrown under the Lefthound Bus. At least Judas Iscariot got some silver in exchange for his betrayal while conservatives received only promises of more attacks to come.

The Hatchet Man Left takes no prisoners, negotiates no surrender terms save for “unconditional” and is absolutely relentless in it’s pursuit of the destruction of Conservatism and the American way of life. By contrast Republicans are often “as concerned, alarmed” or “outraged” over the actions of fellow Conservatives as the Hatchet Man Left is. Right now, the little “rootin’, tootin’ chicken hawk” from Foghorn Leghorn cartoons would seem like a Leonidas if stacked up against the Right’s leaders.

Are there any Real Men Left? Gonzales is accused of and is being publicly lynched for “subverting the rule of law” as Marxist -Tribunal Chief and Executioner Chuckie Schumer (D-NY) put it. Gonzales “has a higher obligation to the rule of law and the Constitution, on, even when the president should not want it to be so” bellowed Schumer to ‘Face The Nation’s High Crimes Jury.  Then in his closing argument Schumer laid on the verdict “Attorney General Gonzales should step down” And where were ‘All the President’s Men’?

Well, Schumer appeared on “Nation” with Arlen Specter of PA who in a separate opinion concurred with the Hatchet Man Left’s ruling. Then on Wednesday, Senator John Cornyn of TX and John Sununu of NH piled on to give the Stalin Court a 3-0 ruling outlawing a Republican President’s right and privilege to choose those who serve him. The Republican Party is piling up a record that will become the envy of the 1988-1994 Buffalo Bills who perfected the art of losing the SuperBowl.
