The reFounding Father Society

Updated! 040708 - While we are soliciting steering committee membership, let's work on establishing some exchanges between the rest of us. I propose to form "Committees of Correspondence", much as our Revolutionary Founders did. Each state should have a C of C the purpose of which is to exchange ideas formulate specific complaints against specific, un-Constitutional usurpations of our Liberties.

I will go first: The Endangered Species Act needs to be repealed and the power to regulate wildlife and natural resources returned to the states (more background here. ) The ESA is the crown jewel of Nature Nazis and bark humping weirdos and gives uninterested parties in other  states the right sue to list a species and therefore violates ArticleIV Section 4's guarantee of a Republican form of government.

Now if a "concerned animal lover", living in say CA wishes to lobby the CA legislature to protect the condor, it does not need a permission slip from Congress to do so but if the same person wishes to sue to protect the Louisiana Black Bear he does not have standing.

The reFounding Father Society™ was launched today. If your sick of being told you're too Conservative to be Republican, then The rFFS could be for you. I'm compiling a White Paper to express the vision and principles of the Society as well as an online questionnaire.

10 Feb. 2008 - Okay! I have completed the first draft of The reFounding Father Society's Mission Statement. Please add suggestions, comments and alterations in the comment section below.

Our next task is to form the rFFS Steering Committee. This committee will exchange ideas on how best to implement the Mission Statement. We will then need to organize, and seeing as how we are committed to be governed by the original intent of our Founders, feel no need to walk the "non profit, non-partisan" think tank, partisan hack route to change. As stated in our preamble, we seek a Windfall Profit in Liberty.

Mission Statement
We the People, to form a more perfect union and Re-Secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our posterity do establish and ordain this Society as a for profit citizen group. The profit we seek is the windfall of Liberty we are impelled to return to the People of These United States.

1. The Founding Fathers were Philosopher/Intellectuals whose work and theory produced ideas on government that are still applicable today and America should revert to their narrowly defined usage.

2. The Founding Fathers were right to establish “The Pursuit of Happiness” as the goal of government. A Man’s inalienable Right, granted him by his Creator, to pursue his Happiness is the only true foundation of Free Society.

3. The Declaration of Independence is America’s Founding Document and proclaims this foundation.

4. The Constitution organized the Theory of the Declaration into a form of government and is the greatest political triumph in the history of the world.

5. The Framers / Founding Fathers left open a loophole which from the moment the Constitution went into effect allowed the Constitution to be undermined and ultimately rendered moot and the promise of The Declaration corrupted.

6. The rFFS commits itself to the scholarship of the Framers / Founding Fathers.

7. The rFFS commits itself to the restoration of the narrowly defined Constitutional Republic.

8. The rFFS commits itself to closing "The Loophole”.

9. The rFFS will identify, educate and promote Academics to rFFS advocacy and will work to educate all Americans to our scholarship.

10. The rFFS will identify and recruit Free Men & Women to run for Political Office to establish rFFS objectives.

Many of you will be wondering just what "The Loophole" is that is referenced in the Mission Statement. I will write a paper on this shortly but briefly, the Loophole was the failure to include, as an Article, an Expressed Powers clause which would have limited, by compact, the New Federal Government from creating it's own powers (which Amendments IX and X were inserted for but have been ignored).

Next I will form a steering committee to discuss a plan of action, some core curriculum to publish, appointment of officers and nomination of Delegates. Here's my Dream Team of Steering Committee Members:

Great idea. I have been thinking lately that if a 3rd party is needed, a good name would be either the Constitution Party or now that you mention it, the Founder's Party has a nice ring to it. Never give up Mike!
