No, This Does Not Mean We Need More Taxes
Look people, the left is spinning the Minnesota bridge collapse faster than a fat man in a Tilt-A-Whirl at the county fair, but don't buy the nonsense that this tragic event is indisputable proof that we need to raise taxes. Yes, there are issues with infrastructure in the country, but this is only the second bridge to collapse from fatigue/neglect in the last twenty years. In a country with over a half million bridges, I'd say that's a pretty solid track record. A let's look at what was going on when the bridge collapsed. It was under construction for repairs! I would hardly consider that neglect. Even if that whining pansy Harry Reid is right and we do need as much revenue as possible, tax receipts are higher NOW than before the Bush tax cuts. Raising taxes does NOT equal more money for the government.
