Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – If culture says, “No big deal. Who cares? We have no expectation of privacy. You guys need to shut up and stop railing against it,” then you’re going to have a state that is going to do exactly what is permissible. Designing men are always going to accrue power where there is least resistance for it. If they can acquire and accrue that power, they are most certainly going to pursue it. They are going to try and gain as mu….Continue

NSA Phone Monitoring Another Reason To End "Reign Of Witches," As Jefferson Put It

Contains Exclusive: Transcript Topics: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – I would think that any man or woman of good conscience and that holds near and dear that cherished jewel, as Henry called it, of liberty would not only be alarmed by this but would be spurred into action. Alarm won’t do anything; action will. Pitchforks and torches are called for here. Just assume then that all of us have been eavesdropped on. Every single one of us has been violated. We have been violated because we are citiz….Continue

Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – If you stack 62 billion -- we’re talking stacking, laying them one on top of another, not end to end, stacking them. If you stack 62 billion iPhone 5’s, you would create a tower that is long enough to reach the moon and then part of the way back. You would need a little bit less than two zettabytes in iPhone 5’s to go all the way to the moon and back. This is how much data the NSA claims that th….Continue

Rod Dreher writes what many of you are talking about these days even if you do not admit: what caused the current decline and is there any hope to reverse it? (there is, I call it [r]epublicanism) Frank Rich's original "Declinist" screed is here It's the Spending Stupid: WaTimes Editorial nails it with the "Potomac Fever" description of "the spending bug" (I believe the disease is incurable and fatal to the union) Well what do you know: The American slave ---er I mean taxpaye….Continue

Was Secession A Constitutional Right? 1868 Book Concluded It Was. "It was in 1833, for the frst time in the history of the country, that it was solemnly asserted and argued, that the Constitution of the 'United States was not a compact between the States. This new doctrine simultaneously put forth, by Mr. Justice Story in his "Commentaries on the Constitution of the 'United States," and by Mr. Daniel Webster in "the greatest intellectual effort of his life," that is, in his great speech in the Senate of the I6th of February, 1833. In order to show that the Constitution is not a compact between the States, the position is assumed, that it is not a compact at all. If it be a compact, say they, then the States had a right to secede. But it is not a compact; and hence secession is treason and rebellion. The great fundamental questions, then, on which the whole controversy hinges are, first, Is the Constitution a compact? and, secondly, Is it a compact between the States?" - Albert Bledsoe, Was Secession A Constitutional Right (1868)
