This lawyer that Obama has nominated to be the next judge seated on the federal bench has now come to the attention of Senator Rand Paul, who wants to know why in dude’s holy name should anyone vote for David Barron without first knowing exactly what was in the “you can go ahead and kill Anwar al-Awlaki” memo he authored.
Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – There’s a great way to combat Latin American drug cartels, ladies and gentlemen. It’s called legalize the substance. Make it so that it is freely traded just like coconuts and lettuce leaves. Then when it is decriminalized, there won’t be a criminal element. You see anyone standing on a corner hawking illicit and illegally-obtained heads of cabbage, do you? Is there anyone out there that’s engaging in the illegal radish trade? Do we have smuggled-in cucumbers from Mexico and Central America? Check out today’s transcript for the rest…
Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – I don’t have any problem with the Pennsylvania attorney general having whatever opinion she likes to have or wishes to have about the importance of or judiciousness of the gay marriage ban in Pennsylvania. The fact of the matter is you run for the office of attorney general so that you can enforce the laws of the state, whatever state that may be, or you may be appointed to enforce the laws that the executive branch is enforcing for the federal union. You don’t get to write the laws. You don’t get to pick and choose. Check out today’s transcript for the rest…
Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – What are we in such a hurry for? Slow down. Now we’ve got to be in a hurry to get charges filed against the surviving perp, get him to court, get him tried, and in some people’s estimation, like Ted Nugent, bring him out to the public square. I guess for the anniversary, this would be a great spectacle. Or next year’s Boston Marathon, before the festivities begin, they can build a festive-looking gallows there. If we can get a quick enough conviction of Dzhokhar, we can hang him right there, hang him high. Check out today’s transcript for the rest…
Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – Oh, but we’re not going to use our spy capabilities to spy on American citizens, we were told. There were still no links to the sleeper cell. This, to me, is FBI propaganda. Let’s put it out there that these two punks are in cahoots with some kind of terrorist organization, that way it sounds like we have some cover for all the abuse of the older brother’s civil liberties that we’re going to be on the hook for. But the FBI goes, “We know everything about you, everything.” Really? Did a judge sign off on it? Did you guys get a warrant? I’m just curious. Check out today’s transcript for the rest…
Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – We do have laws around here. In emergencies, this is when you most want the protections of civil liberties and when you most want due process. We’re told we don’t want vigilantes running around seeking justice, right? Why should government be able to act like a vigilante? That was the only point that I was trying to make. I did not second guess Mayor Menino’s motives. I did not second guess Governor Patrick’s motives. I did nothing of the sort. I simply asked for a citation, which I still have yet to see or receive. Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – Dzhokhar Tsarnaev as an enemy combatant? What different does it make under which statute he’s prosecuted under? He did murder or assisted in the murder of the woman who is to be buried today. He did murder or assist in the murder of that eight-year-old boy. He did murder or assist in the murder of the other man. You have ample ways to charge him under state statutes. We must prove that we need the NDAA law. Here’s Peter King saying this guy needs to be tried as an enemy combatant. I just wonder what’s the motivation for this? Maybe Mr. King will explain it to us. Check out today’s transcript for the rest…
Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Video and Audio - In the days after the Boston Marathon bombing we know what Mayor Menino was doing... he was staying appraised of the situation with the two brothers and assisting the FBI in invading half of the city's privacy, but at no point did he go through the process of issuing an Executive Order so this type of behavior would be at least somewhat lawful. Still, he had the entire city of Boston on lock down, despite the fact that there was no apparent danger to the greater population (no dirty bomb smuggled in or impending natural disaster), so when the Government of Louisiana and New Orleans actually goes through with the Executive Order in the weeks leading up to Hurricane Katrina, despite all that was going on, shouldn't that tell you that Mayor Menino had the opportunity as well?
