What’s the Difference Between Ted Cruz’s Filibuster and Rand Paul’s? Complacency vs Action.

Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Video and Audio - Even though Ted Cruz was standing tall at his filibuster against Obamacare, he was also standing with the majority view. His views represent nothing new and most of the rest of the Republican party. When Rand had his filibuster he was challenging the Democrats AND the Republicans, who had voted FOR most of the policies he was filibustering against (NSA, spyfare, drones, etc). Ted Cruz deserves credit for joining Paul's filibuster but there is a major difference between the two. One is complacent within his party and the other represents action in a new direction. Kevin Gutzman On Senate Rule Change For Cloture And Filibuster

Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – You wrote on your Facebook page on Thursday that the minority should not have been able to thwart the will of the majority in these things and it was long past time for this to happen. I understand where you’re coming from now that I’ve done a little reading on it, but there are other people that do not. Check out today’s transcript for the rest…

GOP Says Medicare Good, Obamacare Bad, But Both Are Government-Run Healthcare

Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – As a matter of fact, the same party that says government shouldn’t be running healthcare, the Republicans, are probably now the most staunch defenders of the biggest government healthcare program known to ever exist in the history of the universe, Medicare. Senator Cruz’s Filibuster Should Be About Obamacare Ushering In An Oligarchy

Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – It makes it a national one, or even more dangerously, it makes it an oligarchical system, meaning the rulers make the rules the rest of us live by while exempting themselves from same. There is nothing that prevents them, nothing that prevents them from inserting their opinion and altering the course of human history in any way, manner, shape, or form that they deign to be necessary. That is not how a federal system can operate. Check out today’s transcript for the rest…

Texas Senator Wendy Davis Can’t Filibuster Abortion Bill This Time

Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – A special session of the Texas Assembly begins today, called by Governor Rick Perry to pass this bill that would outlaw the practice of abortion after 20 weeks in Texas. The bill probably would have passed at the end of the last legislative session had it not been for this filibuster that this Davis woman began I guess on the day before the session was slated to expire, and her filibuster was successful in delaying a vote on the measure. Constitutional Traitors In The Senate, Big Surprise

Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – I want to repeat, there are three instances under which the militia would fall under the control of the Congress, and then only to write rules for how they should be disciplined. The three instances are: there is a declaration of war, the country or a state has been invaded by a foreign warring force, or there has been a rebellion in one of the states and the governor or the legislature of that state has asked for help in putting it down. Those are the three instances under which Congress could write any kind of rule regulating any gun that existed or was owned in any of the 50 states. Check out today’s transcript for the rest…

The State Will Do What The State Wants To Do

Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – As I have been saying, those that are being pilloried for their promise to filibuster this, in my humble, constitutional opinion, are in the correct. They are trying to prevent damage to the federal constitution, what little shreds of it remain, not that I think it’s going to make a difference, but it is admirable to see some devotion to principle, is it not? Why Is The Second Amendment Debatable (and Others Aren’t)?

Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – Would anyone lose their cookies over a filibuster to defend and protect the 14th Amendment? What about the 13th Amendment? Do you think anyone would lose their cookies, [mocking] “This is part of the Constitution now. We have to do this.” Of course, the 13th Amendment is outlawing slavery, thus it is a punishment for a crime. Would anyone get their proverbial knickers or panties in a wad over a filibuster that would protect the 13th Amendment? Check out today’s transcript for the rest…

TSA Opt-Out And Filibuster – Both Legitimate Forms Of Protest

Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – That was the other thing, our government treats us today as if we are all terrorists. They tell the TSA to treat four-year-olds as though they are terrorists, do they not? They tell the TSA to treat 88-year-old grannies with Depends undergarments on as if they are terrorists, do they not? They tell the TSA to treat teenage girls and prepubescent boys as if they are terrorists, subjecting them to pat-downs and gropes and feel-ups, do they not? Check out today’s transcript for the rest…
