Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Transcript - I think this is probably the valid question these days: What would a healthy conservatism look for? We’ve been fighting from a defensive posture for over 50 years now. You’ve got to get on the offense here, which is why nullification, interposition, secession, hold-out and the kind of people that are going to practice republicanism who would do nullification and interposition, or would consider rethinking the union, are going to ne….Continue

Mandeville, LA - Mike Church presents his daily Pile of Prep, containing all the stories Mike uses in his show prpe and ongoing research of American history. 6 Months ago I began wondering aloud why Romney/Ryan didn't bolt to the non-intervention/Ron Paul view of foreign Policy, outflank Obama and crush him on the issue, now that election is close it is fashionable for others to do so The DeceptiCON high command orders "constitutionalist" troops to vote for Romney or die "Ruh ….Continue

Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Transcript - So Romney gallivanting across the globe, to me, is nothing more than a sop. This is an homage to Bill Kristol and all of those decepticons over there, to think that we can remake the world in our own image. They just need to see Governor Romney over there practicing remaking the world, which is why your question is a good one. Why is he over there saying things that you would think someone that’s a politician in that country ough….Continue

I watched Romney's debut of the "Cut The Spending" banner and stump speech and without hearing a solitary detail wonder if he thinks you'll buy the slogan then forget to demand the product? To answer that question consider Boehner's attempt to shellack us as rubes saying he "won't allow another bump in the debt ceiling without spending cuts" which obviously won't be enough to prevent raising the debt-can you say DeceptiCONNED? The question isn't whether Congress should regulat….Continue

Was Secession A Constitutional Right? 1868 Book Concluded It Was. "It was in 1833, for the frst time in the history of the country, that it was solemnly asserted and argued, that the Constitution of the 'United States was not a compact between the States. This new doctrine simultaneously put forth, by Mr. Justice Story in his "Commentaries on the Constitution of the 'United States," and by Mr. Daniel Webster in "the greatest intellectual effort of his life," that is, in his great speech in the Senate of the I6th of February, 1833. In order to show that the Constitution is not a compact between the States, the position is assumed, that it is not a compact at all. If it be a compact, say they, then the States had a right to secede. But it is not a compact; and hence secession is treason and rebellion. The great fundamental questions, then, on which the whole controversy hinges are, first, Is the Constitution a compact? and, secondly, Is it a compact between the States?" - Albert Bledsoe, Was Secession A Constitutional Right (1868)
