Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – When the Constitution was ratified, the guy who actually wrote the “We the people” script and actually wrote the four original parchment paper pages that hold the original text of the original Constitution, Gouverneur Morris, he went to his grave convinced that his grandchildren would not live in an American Union consecrated under a Constitution. It is nothing short of an absolute miracle or maybe a curse, depending on whose si….Continue

Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – There are more than one manufacturer of weapons and ammunition that is used in said weapons that are deciding they’re going to leave the states that are persecuting their industry. I would say they are persecuting people that, for the most part, by and large, are law abiding. They’re not running around willy-nilly shooting people just because they have weapons. They’re not running around flashing their weapons out in the str….Continue

Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Video and Audio - Gun purchases have more than doubled in the United States since 2009, people are literally buying guns and ammo like it's going out of style. So why are people doing this? Do you think that you're not going to be able to purchase some of these weapons in the near future? Or are you buying them to protect yourself and your family? If you're buying them for defense, well, that's a pretty valid reason. If you're buying them because you….Continue

Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Video and Audio - The Manchin-Toomey background check bill that is going through the Senate right now is yet another example of yet another bill that our Federal Overlords should not even be discussing. This bill and Diane Fienstiens bill would outlaw the private sale of firearms and would require everyone to register all of their firearms. So what would happen if this bill does go through? Well, one example in the "Big Brother, 1984" sense would be ….Continue

Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – I have this story here about how a “gun rights group” claims to be a now supporter of the Manchin-Toomey bill. How is this possible? How is it possible? Here’s the headline: “Gun rights group endorses Manchin-Toomey background-check bill.” How could you be running around endorsing something that you know to be an unconstitutional exercise? Check out today’s transcript for the rest…….Continue

Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – I want to repeat, there are three instances under which the militia would fall under the control of the Congress, and then only to write rules for how they should be disciplined. The three instances are: there is a declaration of war, the country or a state has been invaded by a foreign warring force, or there has been a rebellion in one of the states and the governor or the legislature of that state has asked for help in putting it….Continue

Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – You can live free, but you’re not going to be able to die with a weapon in your hand according to Senator Ayotte. You can have a slingshot. You can have a peashooter, a .22 personal revolver that will fit in the watch pocket of your front pants, but we’re not giving you anything that you can defend against a government out of control or against the forces of an invading government out of control, which was the purpose of the Se….Continue

Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – We all know the story. It’s a sad, tragic story. Again, they had a handgun ban in Chicago. It didn’t save that little girl’s life. Do you really think background checks or gun registries for the madman that took that little girl’s life would have saved it? Please. There’s just something really, really -- it is disconcerting to see children manipulated and used in the manner they’re being used as props for the naked ….Continue

Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – As I have been saying, those that are being pilloried for their promise to filibuster this, in my humble, constitutional opinion, are in the correct. They are trying to prevent damage to the federal constitution, what little shreds of it remain, not that I think it’s going to make a difference, but it is admirable to see some devotion to principle, is it not? Check out today’s transcript for the re….Continue

Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – Would anyone lose their cookies over a filibuster to defend and protect the 14th Amendment? What about the 13th Amendment? Do you think anyone would lose their cookies, [mocking] “This is part of the Constitution now. We have to do this.” Of course, the 13th Amendment is outlawing slavery, thus it is a punishment for a crime. Would anyone get their proverbial knickers or panties in a wad over a filibuster that would protect ….Continue

Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – Yesterday we talked to my buddy Mark Kreslins about the attempt to nullify Obamacare in the State of Oklahoma and that it stalled in the Oklahoma Senate because of the protestations of one historically ignorant senator, a gentlemen by the name of Clark Jolley. That’s up for debate as to what’s going to happen with that. There is another effort in the State of Kansas that is making its way to the desk of Governor Brownback. Che….Continue

Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – The State comes at this from the position that their priority and their preference supersedes or exceeds that of the parent. Could it not be said that if parents had the ability to keep their children out of all manner of public building where there are public events going on, especially if they’re well-guarded in their home or their environment, that they have then taken measures to deal with their safety? Check out today’s tr….Continue

Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – Let me be clear. I am not a proponent of and I think it’s heinous that the State of Maryland would ban or try to interfere with its citizens protecting themselves outside of their homes by carrying their weapons with them. Here in Louisiana, your automobile is an extension of your home. If you want to bring your weapon with you and you’re carrying it in your car, you’re basically carrying it in ….Continue

Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – Professor Dr. Kevin Gutzman is on the Dude Maker Hotline, celebrating ten years of your buddy being here on Sirius XM satellite radio airwaves. I don’t know if you knew that. This week is our anniversary. Tomorrow is James Madison’s birthday as well. We have a two-fold purpose. Plus James Madison and the Making of America is out in paperback. Check out today’s transcript for the rest…….Continue

Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Transcript - If you’d really like to be learned about this, go take your Google browser and download the entire document that is today known as the Bill of Rights. Download it and that includes the ratification instructions and the preamble that goes along with it. Come back and tell me that that amendment you cite is pointed anywhere other than at the new general government, which was just meeting for the first time….Continue

Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Transcript - We don’t seem to mind exterminating 1.5 million of them every year in abortion clinics, but heaven forfend madmen roaming amongst us, who will still be roaming amongst us no matter how many gun bans you put in place, should take one out. Let’s focus in on the children. Yes, let’s do all this for the children. What about the 50 million children that have never been born thanks to Roe v. Wade and thanks to our obsession and fascin….Continue

Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Transcript - For some reason, it has just been seared into the mind of the average American gun owner out there. It doesn’t matter what the facts are and it doesn’t matter what the Constitution as ratified and the Bill of Rights, as you call it, as ratified said. It doesn’t even matter what the first 130 years of life under that amendment, what that intent was and how that intent was honored. That doesn’t even….Continue

Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Transcript - If your sheriff will interpose on your behalf on behalf of the Second Amendment, why won’t your sheriff interpose on behalf of the rest of the amendments? If you sheriffs out there -- there’s probably some of you listening right now. You listen to me, if you’re doing this because it’s good politics, I understand. If you’re doing it out of devotion to principle, my question to you is: What about the other seven amendments tha….Continue

Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Transcript - If all we have to do is pass laws to stop this, it would seem to me we could pass laws and stop all the malady of the human condition. We can pass laws to make every woman happy, fully employed, paid more than her male counterparts. Can we? Pass a law. We can pass laws and stop all the bullying immediately. We can stop all the horrible things that happen in schools, like children eating French fries. Just imagine the possibilities ….Continue

Mandevilla, LA - Exclusive Transcript - I don’t think the early generations of republicans went off into their legislatures carrying the wishes of the hoi polloi. I think they went off to their legislatures and they were trusted by the hoi polloi or by the peasantry that they had their best interests at heart and were going to carry it into fruition. As a goal and an objective, they were going there to continue the practice of securing their safety and happiness and protec….Continue

Was Secession A Constitutional Right? 1868 Book Concluded It Was. "It was in 1833, for the frst time in the history of the country, that it was solemnly asserted and argued, that the Constitution of the 'United States was not a compact between the States. This new doctrine simultaneously put forth, by Mr. Justice Story in his "Commentaries on the Constitution of the 'United States," and by Mr. Daniel Webster in "the greatest intellectual effort of his life," that is, in his great speech in the Senate of the I6th of February, 1833. In order to show that the Constitution is not a compact between the States, the position is assumed, that it is not a compact at all. If it be a compact, say they, then the States had a right to secede. But it is not a compact; and hence secession is treason and rebellion. The great fundamental questions, then, on which the whole controversy hinges are, first, Is the Constitution a compact? and, secondly, Is it a compact between the States?" - Albert Bledsoe, Was Secession A Constitutional Right (1868)
