"When that idea [democracy] is introduced, you have coming into the political structure of a society this whole notion of representation, that government is a compact between the people and the government as established through their representatives. The great irony of representation is that over time it swallows up everything and destroys true liberty. If anybody doubts that, let me ask a simple question: How has taxation with representation worked out for us?"
Mandeville, LA - Church Doctrine - The British Parliament is made up of two houses, the House of Lords and the House of Commons. There are currently 650 members of Parliament or MP’s in the House of Commons1. The Commons are supposed to be representative of the people and when they were recently asked to defy the people and vote “aye” on a resolution to join the United States in bombing Syria’s legitimate government back “to the stone ages” they voted “nay”.
Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Video and Audio - The number one example of how tyrannical our government has gotten since 1776 is that of Edward Snowden. Not only did he have to flee the country for fear of prosecution but he is also seeking asylum in India and China. Now, what would our Founding Fathers have thought of this situation? Especially on the heels of seceding from the tyrannical King George III and Great Britian? Many of them would probably see Edward Snowden as a fellow patriot, he's certainly not selling any of our secrets to any enemy countries (China and Russia aren't enemies last we checked), he's just trying to inform the American Citizenry about what their oppressive government has been doing the last several years (decades?). The reason why this animates me and sets me off is because this idea, this idea is at the heart of the cancer. That guy that called me last hour is evidence of the left’s success. The guy that said, “Eh, Kennedy says that ask not what you can do for your — what your government can do for you, what you can do for your government. And the only reason I’m able to drive this truck around the country is because of our government and how wonderful it is, this and that and the other.” That guy had it exactly backwards, that the government created prosperity, it did no such thing; that the government created freedom, it did no such thing; that the government created opportunity, it did and does no such thing. It infringes on opportunity. It infringes on freedom. It is there specifically for — or it is there to execute specific purposes, specific initiatives. It has specific objectives, that it was agreed in Philadelphia in 1787.
Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Audio and Transcript - If you people in Texas want to secede, you better know what those on your borders think about it. What does Louisiana think about it? What does Arkansas think about it? What does Oklahoma think about it? What does New Mexico think about it? What do the states around you think about it? There are serious things to consider here. I believe in considering those things you might start some critical thinking and there may be an actual, bona fide threat to the federal leviathan’s tyranny that is reigning today. Maybe, just maybe, some cooler heads in that body might say: Maybe we ought to back off some of this and not spend all that money we’re going to spend. Maybe we should listen to these guys. I think they’re serious this time. Check out the rest in today's audio and transcript...
Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Video and Audio - Instead of electing a President we are focusing on who will be the next successor to King George III... will King Obama continue his tyranny or will King Romney ascend to the throne? Either way, the people of this country haven't lived under this much oppression since George III and it's not going to stop in one election. The focus shouldn't be on the President, which is a centralization of power, but rather on your local government. Be sure and check out the entire Founders TV show for more on King Romney vs King Obama, the bomber in Bangladesh, and much more... Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Audio and Transcript - Leo Linbeck at The Imaginative Conservative has an article called "Why Congress Doesn't Work: Undermining Self-government" where he says that the problems with our government are SO complex and SO huge that we basically choose to ignore them and focus on something else (the Presidential Election). One man can't solve everything that's wrong with our government, but that's all the American sheople and media are focused on, because the real problems are just TOO BIG to comprehend.
