Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – Let me say to you something you won’t hear very many members of the talk radio mafia, a derisive name given to talk radio show hosts by Mary Anastasia O’Grady back in 2008 because radio hosts were refusing to endorse Senator McCain back then. I don’t believe that this juncture in the lives of Americans or of Western civilization in general is that much removed from the similar situations and juncture that were experienced by men of 1750 to 1820, by the men of 1800 to 1870, by the men of 1850 to 1920, by the men of 1910 to 1980, or by the men of 1920 (known as the greatest generation to those who have survived today) to this current generation. Mandeville, LA -For the last 100 years or so, men have ceded their masculine powers both physical and mental to women who are, truth be told, are biologically inferior in both conditions when it comes to raising and grooming the next generation of Gentleman/Statesman. Please note that the preceding does not preclude a strong and necessary female role in young men's lives, quite the contrary, it merely reassigns the roles as they were traditionally practiced. A key component of this process are the scholarly works and mannerisms that engender the disciplined ethic a Gentleman must acquire and then cultivate his entire life. Fortunately for us we have several written resources that promote and describe this process. One of these is the "Letters to my Son" series written by the Earl of Chesterfield to his son. We will add as many of Chesterfield's letters as quickly as we can and provide cataloguing and easy access as we go in the hopes that you, Dear Reader, will share them with your sons. - Mike Church
Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Transcript - Here’s another article that I found, stumbled across yesterday: “Preserve Digital Letters.” This is written by a cat named Fady Zaki at something attached to Reason Magazine. This guy lives in New Zealand. This guy makes a very interesting observation. This goes out to all you 20-somethings and mid-30-somethings. When was the last time you picked up an ink pen, sat down with paper in front of you, and composed a formal letter to anyone, paper, pen, folded it up, put it in an envelope, self-addressed it and mailed it? Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Video and Audio - The media, both left and right, has done such a great job of brain-washing the American sheople into believing that the Government and Politicians are all-knowing and the world is such a dangerous place that our Army must be involved in everyone's business. A poll taken in Ohio of what people wanted to hear about in tonight's debate is surprising... but not REALLY surprising once you realize how much the sheople have been brainwashed into believing their Federal Overlord will protect them. Here's the short list: Iran, Terrorism, Afghanistan, Human Rights. For more on tonight's debate, talks between Iran and the Obama administration, and much more, be sure and check out Founders TV. Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Transcript - If you really want to educate yourselves and your sons, gentlemen, I want you to pick a copy up -- it’s free of charge at the Gutenberg Press or at MikeChurch.com -- the Earl of Chesterfield’s wonderful work of letters to his son on how to become a gentleman of the world and a statesman. Every morning I make it a ritual now, I read a letter from John Stanhope, the Earl of Chesterfield. There’s a reason why this work has survived 400 years and influenced Thomas Stonewall Jackson. Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Transcript - One of the things that has gone off the train tracks and it is our job as men to put it back on -- no, I am not calling you ladies into service because this is not your job. Sorry, but that’s one of the things that’s gone off the track. There is a difference between what a guy’s job is, what a gentleman’s job is, a Christian gentleman, and what a lady’s job is. One of the things that you must do, and this is up to the men, is you must create the next generation of statesmen. Many of you are in the process of creating the next generation of statesmen. The most surefire way to create actual statesmen -- and not partisan, hack demagogues who believe they are entitled to some station in life because they were born into it like the rest of our ruling elites of both parties, those that run magazines and think tanks and what have you -- the most surefire way to do this is to provide that elusive liberal education, classical liberal education.
