Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Transcript - The lunatics from the Westboro Baptist Church were threatening to go protest and disrupt these people’s grieving ceremonies and funerals. Again, the incorporation doctrine would prevent the City of Newtown from calling an ad hoc meeting of their council and passing an ordinance that said you can’t, and if you do we’re going to have our police chief arrest you. Of course, some ACLU lawyer or someone is going to jump in there and sue and say the First Amendment says they have the right. We already have a Supreme Court case on that. No, Newtown, you can’t ban speech in your city. Sans the incorporation doctrine, Newtown absolutely could. Not only could they do it, but they could enforce it against the Phelpses and make them spend time in jail if they wanted to, if that’s what the law said, they could fine them, whatever the case may be. Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – If culture says, “No big deal. Who cares? We have no expectation of privacy. You guys need to shut up and stop railing against it,” then you’re going to have a state that is going to do exactly what is permissible. Designing men are always going to accrue power where there is least resistance for it. If they can acquire and accrue that power, they are most certainly going to pursue it. They are going to try and gain as much as they can. Check out today’s transcript for the rest…
Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – We must guard against American militia members because we’re all a bunch of kooks and radical nutjobs that can’t be trusted with a rocket-propelled grenade and semiautomatic weapons and what have you. Our Middle Eastern Islamic counterpart, there are militia groups that the federal government does love and admire and believes needs to be armed. I think we strain the definition of the word contradiction here by applying it to this. This doesn’t even rise to the level of contradiction. This is something beyond a contradiction. Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Transcript - My friends, we are in Kafka’s Brazil. There is no reality anymore other than what silly, self-centered, arrogant reality that we make up here now. Now we’re going to marshal up all the forces of our county, as Dwayne points out, or city, state governments to now purchase armored vehicles to stop Adam Lanza. What is the thought process behind this? The fact that they think they can get away with this or that they think they’re compelled or it is their duty to do it is just troubling. Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Transcript - They fear, and I believe they’re correct, that ultimately the police state is going to try and track every single solitary transaction, and to write laws that make it illegal to act outside the way they want you to do it. If you do that, brother, Big Sis Napolitano can then classify you as some sort of a militant. That’s how they’re going to get to it. They don’t have to confiscate. All they have to do is improve and increase their monitoring. Check out today's transcript for the rest...
Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Transcript - The president yesterday, I thought, had a great speech. I was very moved by the families in the audience. I thought the kids on the stage was very brilliant politically to point out that there was 20 kids that were killed and these kids wrote in about that. When you listen to Joe Scarborough, who is a Fox conservative, and then you listen to what the president says, and you hear a lot of people on your show, including yourself to some degree, you all sound very crazy with your response to this. Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Transcript - Some people want to proceed from the point of view that all things that are debated in the public square these days are debated for the public good. It is quite possible, I would say quite probable, that they’re not discussed for the public good; they’re discussed for the individual’s good. Whoever it is that’s doing the discussing probably has, as Obama likes to say, some skin in the game. There’s very little of what goes on today that’s for the “public good.” Check out the rest in today's transcript...
Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Audio and Transcript - These are scary times, ladies and gentlemen. We can sit here and discuss these things all we want. We may be overreaching. We may be being a bit hyperbolic. I think the fact that there’s actually a discussion going on that’s going to inexorably affect the lives and fortunes of over 300 million people, and less than 200 people are involved in a decision, that tells me everything I need to know about the formatics of this. We have now reached the point where there really is no self-government. We do have people that actually believe and are ready to act upon their own impulses and what they think our situation ought to be and the way we ought to deal with things. Dark times, ladies and gentlemen, but in the dark time there arises opposition. Check out the rest in today's audio and transcript...
Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Audio and Transcript - What about fat people? More people die from obesity than die from gun violence every year. Shouldn’t we try to figure out what the mental state of mind is of Fat Albert, try to figure out how we can stop fat people from becoming fat? Maybe there’s a mental health cure. Maybe if we just mentally observed. Hang on, before you can eat a Twinkie, before you can partake of your first taste of products made with high fructose corn syrup, you’ve got to pass this mental health exam. We’ve got to make sure you’re not going to become the next Fat Bastard out there. Check out the rest in today's audio and transcript...
Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Transcript - In regards to the Newtown, Connecticut shooting, people trying to attach meaning to these things, we talked about yesterday, sometimes there is no meaning. If there is meaning, the meaning is probably obvious. They’re evil men that desire to do evil things because they haven’t either been taught or they have rejected that evil is to be avoided and evil is to be minimized, that evil is going to cost you a place at God’s table in heaven. Zmirak says here are some of the things that people blame for shootings like in Newtown, the Adam Lanza kid: lax gun control laws, lax divorce laws, violent movies, the culture of death, torture, pornography, worldliness and lack of prayer.
