Contains Exclusive: Audio Topics: , , ,

Mandeville, LA  - "I was asked on-air today what would get people motivated to "do something" about ObamaCare, The NSA et cetera, et cetra. I answered the query by explaining that there was no right answer and then proceeded to prove this by retelling the events of The Boston Tea Party. On 16  December, 1773, 25 or so men, dressed as Indians, snuck onto the wharves of Boston Harbor, stole their way aboard ships they knew to be carrying the India Company's main trade: tea.  ….Continue

Constitution As Savior Of Humankind - Richard Henry Lee Didn't See It That Way

Contains Exclusive: Transcript Topics: , , , , , , , , ,

Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – In the last two weeks, I have immersed myself in research for a short film I want to make. I’ve been wanting to make it since 2009 when I stumbled on this story, a very obscure story about how the effort to stop ratification of the Constitution was intentionally sabotaged. There is no doubt in my mind that it was intentionally sabotaged. The challenge is to try and figure out who it was that did the sabotaging. Check out today….Continue

Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – So Marco Rubio, the senator from Florida, issues this statement last night: “The Internet sales tax is a money grab by tax-hungry states that will burden small business.” Everything is a money grab by tax-hungry states. If it’s not a money grab by tax-hungry states, it’s a money grab by tax-hungry federales. At the end of the day, we’re all having our money grabbed. I just wish it felt better, don’t you? Who Was Paul Revere?

Contains Exclusive: Audio, Video Topics: , , , , ,

Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Video and Audio - In today's Founder's TV, Mike tells us about the man Paul Revere, not the story you've heard hundreds of times. He was a man of strong character, an artisan, and a silversmith who was a Bostonian. From raw lumps of metal he created immortal works of art. He may have looked a little bit like Santa Claus as he was getting into his mid-30's as he was putting on a little weight. He was an intelligent observ….Continue

President Jefferson's First Days In Office

Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – I was asking the question as to whether or not Patrick Henry was correct when he predicted that the office of President is to become a great and powerful king and he is to be supported in extravagant magnificence. What did Jefferson, when he succeeded John Adams to the office of the President, say to those he was corresponding with about what he was about to do? There are a couple of instances we have ….Continue

"It may seem to many readers that as I have elaborated my initial hypothesis I have step by step deprived myself of very nearly all possible argumentative allies. But is not just this required by the hypothesis itself? For if the hypothesis is true, it will necessarily appear implausible, since one way of stating part of the hypothesis is precisely to assert that we are in a condition which almost nobody recognizes and which perhaps nobody at all can recognize fully. If my hypothesis appeared initially plausible. it would certainly be false. And at least if even to entertain this hypothesis puts me into an antagonistic stance. it is a very different antagonistic stance from that of, for example, modern radicalism. For the modern radical is as confident in the moral expression of his stances and consequently in the assertive uses of the rhetoric of morality as any conservative has ever been. Whatever else he denounces in our culture he is certain that it still possesses the moral resources which he requires in order to denounce it. Everything else may be, in his eyes, in disorder; but the language of morality is in order. just as it is. That he too may be being betrayed by the very language he uses is not a thought available to him."  - Alastair MacIntyre
