A member of Congress is not going to be able to, just to give a recent example, stop the property tax rates from going up in the State of Texas as Susan Combs, the Texas State Comptroller, wants her fellow Texans to know. Apparently you’ve been concentrating so much on the federal legislature that you forgot there are sales taxes and property taxes in Texas. ….Continue

Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Transcript - Why was that a big mistake? A citizen that is actually impacted by the tyranny and confiscation of wealth so it can be redistributed by an out-of-control, despotic government and he is the one that has to apologize? He is the one that has to take it back? No, sir. No, Phil, you are in the right. You’re an actual recipient of the benevolence of your kind, magisterial, all-knowing, all-seeing government….Continue

Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Transcript - It is a woeful situation, ladies and gentlemen, that is being exacerbated by the actions of the Federal Reserve in this thing called quantitative easing, which is happening right now as I speak. When I said that inflation was happening right now, you know it and I know it because we know that the Bernanke printing press continues unabated, that the dollars continue to flow into the market, continue to float out there, and are driving th….Continue

Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Audio and Transcript - This is the first salvo in election 2016. You know what else it might be? It might also be the first salvo in congressional election 2014. Look, the economy did okay. I told you. We managed to get t….Continue

Was Secession A Constitutional Right? 1868 Book Concluded It Was. "It was in 1833, for the frst time in the history of the country, that it was solemnly asserted and argued, that the Constitution of the 'United States was not a compact between the States. This new doctrine simultaneously put forth, by Mr. Justice Story in his "Commentaries on the Constitution of the 'United States," and by Mr. Daniel Webster in "the greatest intellectual effort of his life," that is, in his great speech in the Senate of the I6th of February, 1833. In order to show that the Constitution is not a compact between the States, the position is assumed, that it is not a compact at all. If it be a compact, say they, then the States had a right to secede. But it is not a compact; and hence secession is treason and rebellion. The great fundamental questions, then, on which the whole controversy hinges are, first, Is the Constitution a compact? and, secondly, Is it a compact between the States?" - Albert Bledsoe, Was Secession A Constitutional Right (1868)
