Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Video and Audio - On June 20, 1863, West Virginia seceded from Virginia... and is now one of the 50 United States of America. Wow, how did that happen if secession were illegal? While the war of Northern Aggression was going on, West Virginia decided to practice self-determination. They didn't like how the government was going on in Virginia so they decided to go their own way. They didn't have to fill out any online petitions ASKING the Federal Government to recognize them, they just did it. So why can't states, parts of states, counties, heck even cities do it now? What is standing in the way? For more on this be sure and check out today's Founders TV and sign up for a Founders Pass if you haven't already!

Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Transcript - I believe somewhere in my closet at home, I have at least one shirt that was sewn together by the people of Bangladesh. They’re big into textiles. Should we get together and have a Bangladesh burning party? We’ll all get our fabrics and shirts together and anything that has been made in Bangladesh. I think I bought the Bangladeshi shirt because I try not to buy anything that’s made in China, and it’s almost impossible to do. If I can find an alternative that was made in South America or made in South Carolina -- I always look for the Made in the USA brand first. I’m not obsessive or possessive over it. I’m pretty sure I have clothing that has been made in Bangladesh. This is a major problem for many of you. You decepticons out there, those of you that think we need to expand our empire and occupy more places in the world because they all want to kill us, that every Muslim alive wants to kill us and destroy our way of life, you’ve got a whole new country to deal with. Check out the rest in today's transcript...

Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Transcript - Stephen Masty posts this poem at The Imaginative Conservative website. I laughed and I cried as I read this last night and I wanted to share it with the audience. It’s great prose. We don’t have enough poetry, which is one of the beautiful things in life that we seem to believe we can do without, unless it is contained in a Bob Seger or John Cougar or Rush song these days. How about some actual written poetry? Here you go.
