Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – Let’s go all the way back to 1787 and let’s figure out why there was a Senate to start with. Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – Can I just be one of the few sane voices out here? The country is not going to default. It can’t default. It is not going to not make its interest payments. Besides, many of the interest payments are due to what entity? All this money, all the debt you’re hearing about that has to be repaid and whatnot, all of this is not going to China. Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – Yes, we’re going to go down the road of constitutional fantasy land for just a moment. This could be another exercise in civics. Mandeville, LA - Exclusive Video and Audio - Even if everyone gets along and passes the Affordable Care Act, will Obama veto it, as he should? Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – With the revelation of Franklin Pierce’s veto of the indigent insane bill, my perspective on fighting the federal leviathan has taken on an entirely new tint now. I always knew there was no general welfare power granted to the Congress. I wasn’t aware that a first generation descendent of the founder had actually had to deal with it and so forcefully and so mightily and so irrevocably demolished that idea that it wouldn’t gain a majority in the Congress for another 80 years. That’s how powerful Pierce’s smackdown of Congress was. Check out today’s transcript for the rest…
