Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript Here we go again.  Where have I heard this before?  Wait a minute, I can name that song in two notes.  Where have I heard this before?  Pedophilia is not a choice.  No, just like, [mocking] “You think homosexuality is a choice, buddy, do you?”  Oh, but the two, I know, they’re unrelated.”  Check out today’s transcript for the rest….

Back to the New York Times, Margo Kaplan, “Pedophilia: A Disorder, Not a Crime,” published today.  This is not 1938; this is today.

[reading]

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders defines pedophilia as an intense and recurrent sexual interest in prepubescent children, and a disorder if it causes a person “marked distress or interpersonal difficulty” or if the person acts on his interests. Yet our laws ignore pedophilia until after the commission of a sexual offense, emphasizing punishment, not prevention.

[end reading]

Mike:  What’s going on here?  It’s not a crime.  In other words, decriminalize pedophilia.  You are no more guilty of anything having committed an act of pedophilia than you are of medicating yourself with aspirin if you have a headache.  It’s a simple mental disorder.  Once they break this barrier down and it just becomes a “mental disorder,” then what’s going to happen next?  [mocking] “We can’t have these people thought of as being mental deficient.  We need to normalize relations with the pedophilia community.”  What happens after that?

[private FP-Monthly|FP-Yearly|FP-Yearly-WLK|FP-Yearly-So76]

[mocking] “If 48-year-old men want to marry five-year-old boys, who am I to stand in the way?”  [mocking] “Come on, Mike, that could never happen.”  Oh, really?  Such a heresy and such a tainted civilization, morally inept.  We’re not just morally deficient.  We’re inept.  We suck at it.  We’re trying to get worse.  My friends, this is all the whole ball of wax.  Abortion, gun control, taxes, all that other political garbage that you’re so worried about, this is what is important.  This will determine your future.  You want to pass this onto the next generation, for Heaven’s sake?  Unbelievable what is going on right in front of our very eyes, right in front of our very eyes.

[reading]

child_with_bearPart of this failure stems from the misconception that pedophilia is the same as child molestation. One can live with pedophilia and not act on it. Sites like Virtuous Pedophiles [Mike: I did not just read that.] provide support for pedophiles who do not molest children and believe that sex with children is wrong. It is not that these individuals are “inactive” or “nonpracticing” pedophiles, but rather that pedophilia is a status and not an act. In fact, research shows, about half of all child molesters are not sexually attracted to their victims.

[end reading]

Mike:  Really?  Really?  Any of this sinking in, folks?  Oh, but don’t worry about the progression from the advocacy of homosexual marriages and what have you and the sexually-promiscuous lifestyles.  None of that will have any effect on our kids.  None of the sexual revolution garbage will have any effect on 14-, 15-, 16-year-old boys who are now being gang orgy hustled by teachers in public schools.  None of it will have any effect.  It will never make anyone try to defend pedophilia.  Oh, no, that will never happen publicly.  Want to bet?

[reading]

A second misconception is that pedophilia is a choice.

[end reading]

Mike:  Here we go again.  Where have I heard this before?  Wait a minute, I can name that song in two notes.  Where have I heard this before?  Pedophilia is not a choice.  No, just like, [mocking] “You think homosexuality is a choice, buddy, do you?”  Oh, but the two, I know, they’re unrelated.

[reading]

Recent research, while often limited to sex offenders – because of the stigma of pedophilia – suggests that the disorder may have neurological origins. [Mike: Wait a minute, I’ve heard this one before, too.] Pedophilia could result from a failure in the brain to identify which environmental stimuli should provoke a sexual response.

[end reading]

Mike:  In other words, all the sexually deviant things that one can possibly think of can all be explained away.  It’s not a lack of morality.  It’s not a lack of a moral code or a moral order.  It’s all brain waves, imbalances that science can address.  We just need a pill.  I will concede that if someone were to dedicate their lives to the service and adulation, worship and honoring of Christ specifically, may then be able to avoid the sins of pedophilia and homosexuality and adultery.  That’s right, heteros are guilty of sexual deviance and sexual mortal sins as well.  They’re all treated, though, by the same septic.  That septic doesn’t come from a bottle.  It’s not going to be engineered by Wyeth Labs.  It’s not going to be engineered by Smith Glaxo Wellcome.  It’s not going to be engineered by Bayer.  It’s available to everyone.  Everyone can partake of the cure, everyone.  Back to the story:

[reading]

Pedophilia can result from a failure in the brain to identify which environmental stimuli should provoke a sexual response. M.R.I.s of sex offenders with pedophilia show fewer of the neural pathways known as white matter in their brains. Men with pedophilia are three times more likely to be left-handed or ambidextrous, a finding that strongly suggests a neurological cause.  Some findings also suggest that disturbances in neurodevelopment in utero or early childhood increase the risk of pedophilia. Studies have also shown that men with pedophilia have, on average, lower scores on tests of visual-spatial ability and verbal memory.

[end reading]

Mike:  Well, Margaret Sanger could have gotten rid of those people.  What do you mean you have low scores on visual spatiality?  Well, we’ll eliminate your.  We’ll eliminate you.  Any of this sinking in?

[reading]

Margo_KaplanThe Virtuous Pedophiles website is full of testimonials of people who vow never to touch a child and yet live in terror.

[end reading]

Mike:  I guess, in other words, if a sex offender moves in your neighborhood and expresses a desire for your five-year-old, as long as he signed up for a lifetime subscription of VirtuousPedophiles.com, well, come on in.  Oh, you want to come to Junior’s birthday party?  Certainly!

[reading]

The psychologist Jesse Bering, author of “Perv: The Sexual Deviant in All of Us,” writes that people with pedophilia “aren’t living their lives in the closet; they’re eternally hunkered down in a panic room.”

[end reading]

Mike:  Good.  I’m glad you’re hunkered down in a panic room.  You know what?  You better stay in there because there are people out there that don’t take too kindly to having their children lusted after or having that lust acted upon.  There’s more of this drivel.  I think you get the point.  I don’t want to read the entire piece because I don’t want to taint the airwaves.  The conclusion is interesting:

[reading]

Removing the pedophilia exclusion would not undermine criminal justice or its role in responding to child abuse.

[end reading]

Mike:  That’s right, because only God-fearing heterosexuals like Adrian Peterson, for example, who we still don’t know exactly what it is that the man did to discipline his child, but we do know that previously such disciplining would probably have been acceptable.  Again, the details of this are not all yet known.

[/private]

Even without the details, there are those that say, [mocking] “He what?  He took a hickory switch to his child?  Well, that’s abuse!”  I seem to recall some books where we were admonished not to spare rods and spoil children.  Of course, turning to those books for guidance, that is so 1958.  Come on now.

[reading]

It would not make it easier, for example, for someone accused of child molestation to plead not guilty by reason of insanity.

[end reading]

Mike:  You know what, Ms. Kaplan?  You are banging on a door, trying to beat it down, and when you do, precisely what you just denied will become a reality.  It will lead to that, madam.  That’s why doors that have been locked by a moral order and a moral code must remain locked.
