This Day In Founders History – 20 August

On this day in 1776, the Continental Congress “resolved itself into a committee of the whole to take into their farther consideration the Articles of Confederation.” Congress also appointed Dr. John Morgan “director general and physician in chief of the American hospital.”

One notable birthday on this day in history in 1935, physician, author, and Republican presidential candidate, Ron Paul.

Also born on this day in 1833, Benjamin Harrison, 23rd President of the United States.
