Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript – We did a story yesterday.  Most people didn’t seem very upset over the Gosnell story and what we reported as the grizzly and ghastly over and over and over a period of years occurrences inside there.  Two women actually lost their lives in the Gosnell abortion clinic.  I just bring it up as a reference because we were talking about this before.  The pro-choice crowd loves to run around out there and talk about the choice of killing people, young people, babies, whatever your preferred terminology is.  Yet when there is killing of others at the hands of firearms, we’ve got to ban that.  Check out today’s transcript for the rest…

Mike:  I want to move on and stay on the same subject here.  I have an email from a friend.  I don’t want to give his name out who sent this.  As I was reading his email, I thought to myself, since we just started doing the Kermit Gosnell story last week and did it yesterday again, I think that he is onto a basic point.

Dear Mike – I have to vent and I have a feeling you will feel my pain. Drudge Report calls Boston a war zone. Gosnell’s clinic was called that, too, yet Drudge Report never said that. Fox News covered the Gosnell case and said it was too graphic to speak about. [Mike: That’s intriguing. (mocking) The images and what’s going on here at the Gosnell clinic are too graphic for us to speak about here on network news.] Even ESPN has not stopped showing the bloody victims of Boston. I glanced on social media. Every person and their brother is upset at it and wants vengeance right now. Yet post a photo of a back of a baby that had its head snapped off by Gosnell’s scissors and you get crickets. No outrage on little humans? Are we a Jekyll and Hyde society or what? I mentioned to a buddy that this is the Joker theory. Remember the movie The Dark Knight where the joker says something along the lines of: If everything goes according to the plan then nobody cares, but if I say I’m going to kill a mayor, then everyone loses their mind. This seems like that. Apparently killing babies is according to the plan no matter how gruesome and yet happened daily at the clip of 4,000 per day. What happened in Boston is unthinkable, but I mean how can we as a people be taken seriously when we throw human beings in the garbage can daily after we rip them apart, burn them, tear their heads off, crush their skulls or cut their backs off? Beam me up, Scotty, there’s no intelligent life here anymore.

road-to-independence-BH-RTIDE2-detailMike:  I won’t tell you who wrote that, but I think largely he is onto something.  There was very little hue and cry.  We did a story yesterday. As long as a doctor is doing it, that’s okay; that’s choice.  When a nut job, we can’t have that.  Is life precious and sacred or isn’t it?  I think if you’re consistent on this, then you reject all manner of violence and indiscriminate or discriminate taking of human life.  All life is precious and to be preserved.  After all, what are we a society or a civilization for?

I think that to wait — if these were adults, we know that they contributed to society, so we should mourn.  Of course you mourn and of course you pray.  Of course you hope it doesn’t happen to you or someone you know or your loved ones.  I hope terror doesn’t strike in your town.  At the same time, there is terror going on in American cities, and there was probably terror going on in Boston that day to those soon-to-be born, yet we are not to speak of this because that would be tasteless, I guess.  Really?  Why?  Why is that person’s life to be valued, especially the most innocent of all, those who could have committed no crime or foul or injury, why isn’t their life as precious and worthy of defense as those that we wish to spare from the horrors of whatever kind of terrorism that was in Boston yesterday?
