Mandeville, LA – Friends, I am still looking to recruit 6 golfers to be on my team at the 3rd Annual ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation Golf Classic, on September 25, 2015 in Fredericksburg VA.  Last year we helped raise almost $15,000 for this wonderful charity that financially assists families who have children suffering cancer in Northern Virginia. Team KingDude has finished 1st and 2nd in our two ASK Classics and this year we hope to repeat as champions AND take second place.

Can I count on your to help me help kids like Elenor this year by bidding to play on my team or making a donation?  Email Victoria Levi to place your bid or go to www.askccf.org and make a donation today! You can also make plans to spend SATURDAY EVENING with Chef Mike Church at the 3rd Annual ASK Foundation Seafood Feast for a $100 donation. Please RSVP, here (event link is coming)

Say hello to Elenor!

I want to introduce you to Elenor, one of the ASK kids that your donations help support.

Elenor is fighting leukemia for the 2nd time in her young life. She was diagnosed for the first time with Leukemia in August of 2010 at the age of two and a half and underwent just over two years of treatment.  In November 2014, she was diagnosed with a relapse of leukemia.   Being told your baby has cancer twice in her short life puts things into perspective and makes you appreciate each day a little bit more.  Despite all of the chemo, procedures and days where she just doesn’t feel good, Eleanor is almost never without a smile on her face.

But back in December, Elenor wasn’t feeling that great.  Diagnosed with a relapse of cancer, Elenor had just started on an aggressive chemo regime and her immune system was severely compromised.  With her low counts and at risk of infection, Elenor couldn’t go to the mall to meet Santa like regular kids.  But instead of having to tell her “no” and see the disappointment on her face, her parents were able to bring Elenor and her little brother and sister to the ASK office for a special one on one meeting with Santa and Mrs. Claus complete with lots of presents for each of them.  Santa appears because of the support you give to ASK!   Because if cancer’s going to go above and beyond to annoy Eleanor, it’s ASK’s job to fight harder to make her life better!

elenor santaThis is just one of the many ways ASK is helping kids and their families as they fight pediatric cancer!

There will be lots of gentlemanly activities including the golf (of course we’d LOVE to have ladies on our teams too!) the after tournament dinner party and then the EXCLUSIVE, world famous, After Party Party/Seafood Extravaganza, hosted and catered by yours truly, tickets are $100 donation and will be available here and RSVP is here.
