Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript –  As I say at the outset, in the first chapter of What Lincoln Killed: Episode I, there are two types of Americans: Jeffersonians and Lincolnians.  About 95, 97 percent of the population are Lincolnians.  They are empiricists.  They believe in the power of the almighty federal government.  They subject themselves to it.  They have been subjugated by it and they have come to peace and made their terms with it.  Lincoln began this process in earnest.  Jefferson tried to stop it.  A Jeffersonian view of our current government would lead to the following statement.  Jefferson would probably write something to the effect that it is the inexorable path of all civilized government to expand. Mike:  As I say at the outset, in the first chapter of What Lincoln Killed: Episode I, there are two types of Americans: Jeffersonians and Lincolnians. As a matter of fact, he did, for government to expand and for liberty to yield.  If that is true, if we truly believe in that Jeffersonian principle, and I believe that’s probably, at the end of the day, a Lockeian principle, from John Locke.

If we truly believe that that is correct and that liberty always yields and government grows, then we basically have a responsibility once every generation or so to refound the republic and to lay the foundation, as Jefferson says in the Declaration, “…it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.”  “…suffer evils, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.”  We are accustomed to this tyranny, in other words.  “But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.”

It is the responsibility of this generation of adults, that’s me, AG, the rest of you included, to provide new safeguards to secure the liberty of our children, born and unborn.  As John Adams says — there’s a great speech in another one of my movies, Road to Independence.  We reenacted John Adams’ speech on why he supported the Declaration of Independence on the 1st of July 1776.  What is at stake is the lives of millions both born and unborn.  Now it’s the lives of tens of millions if not hundreds of millions born and unborn.  It is our job and we are failing miserably.  It is our duty as [r]epublicans to refound the government to secure the future liberty of those children.  We have a duty to do this, not an option.  Do you really think that voting for the lesser of two evils, do you really think that that secures to your children a wise and prudent government of republican virtue?  Really?  You do?  I think you’re crocked.  That cannot be supported by history, can’t be supported by the facts, and it will not be supported by the

results.  Therefore, what should you do?  What should you do?

You should be looking at every opportunity to address the scale of the problem every time you have a chance, at every opportunity.  It really is the last, best hope on Earth.  We need to get Professor Livingston back on the show one day, the author of Rethinking the American Union for the Twenty-First Century.  That is what is required of us.  This union is failing.  It is failing to secure our liberties.  It is failing to secure economic liberty and civil liberties, therefore it must give way.  Folks, we know we can do better, yet we continue to fail.

Remember that thinking makes the man human cogito ergo sum, if we think and critically think, then we become dangerous to those who have not thought, this is our power.
