Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript “We have a media-industrial complex that does the same thing that the government-industrial complex does, the education-industrial complex, the military-industrial complex.  They’re all allied in this big, giant web, and they’re able to direct opinion.  They’re able to direct opinion and they’re able to direct you.  We’re all pawns in this.  We’re all pushed.  You’re pushed and guided in so many facets of your life, and we don’t realize this.”  Check out today’s transcript for the rest….

Mike:  We have a media-industrial complex that does the same thing that the government-industrial complex does, the education-industrial complex, the military-industrial complex.  They’re all allied in this big, giant web, and they’re able to direct opinion.  They’re able to direct opinion and they’re able to direct you.  We’re all pawns in this.  We’re all pushed.  You’re pushed and guided in so many facets of your life, and we don’t realize this.  Of course, I get goose eggs on this.  I’ll get no Twitter, no Facebook, no email.  I won’t get a solitary phone call.  I talked about this two days ago and I talked about it two weeks ago.

If there is an agency in Washington, DC that covers something, that’s something that is part of the social engineering / economic engineering web, like the Transportation Department.  There’s a reason there’s a Transportation Department, and it’s not to build roads.  It’s to make sure that the social engineers that have forced you out into the suburbs, into these little things we call subdivisions and developments — what do you have to do in order to afford the house in a subdivision?  You and your spouse both have to work.  You’re not going to be able to work out of your house because they’ve zoned you out of that.  You can’t have the country store on the bottom and the house upstairs where there’s any population anymore.  The government planners have eliminated that.

How are you going to get the money to afford the $275,000 mortgage?  You’re both going to buy a vehicle.  Now we have a fleet of vehicles that we have to maintain.  What am I going to do?  You’re going to have to go to work somewhere.  Can I just go down the street?  No.  We zoned your workplace 20 miles away.  You have to travel to it.  You’ve got to travel on what?  Government roads.

At every stage of this urban suburbanization, this is social engineering at its finest.  This all began — if we could roll the clock back and go back to 1930, right as Franklin Delanobama Roosevelt is beginning to become president, you would not see suburban America.  It would not exist in the form that you see it today.  As a matter of fact, I think most people would be shocked.  Were there neighborhoods?  Yeah, there were some because some big cities had to have somewhere for all the people to go, but not like we have here today.  At every stage of our lives we are pushed.  We are guided.  We are shepherded.  We are propagandized.

Jordan_Bloom_daily_callerThese cop stories, I think there’s a reason why I don’t get any play on this, and I think this is just a travesty, an outrage.  No one is outraged about it other than me and the couple that got tazed.  The reason is because we’ve been programmed to be outraged by things, certain things.

Jordan Bloom:  Also, I think we don’t realize that it’s the liberal social planners.  For example, the reverse gentrification that’s going on, what’s happening in Ferguson —

Mike:  Right across the street where you live.

Bloom:  Exactly.  McMillan Park, that’s a perfect example.  My housemate Preston ran as a Libertarian candidate or ward chair against Kenyan McDuffie, sort of the ordained next mayor of DC.  McMillan Park is really a fascinating property.  It’s up North Capitol a ways.  It’s got these beautiful cylindrical structures.  It was actually one of the first integrated parks in DC.  Anyway, DC wants to destroy it and redevelop it.  They want to help gentrify it, even though they say they’re against gentrification.  Kenyan McDuffie is obviously for turning this into some sort of mixed use thing with a Panera Bread on the first floor.  A lot of the rest of the city is sort of pushing back.  Since the neighborhood has started to already gentrify a little bit, I’ve gone to a couple of these community meetings.  They seem to have kind of rather overambitious plans to redevelop this place.  They’d like to see a spa and farmer’s market on the subterranean parts of this thing.  It just strikes me as a little cost ineffective.  Still, I support the aspiration to preserve this place.

Mike:  This defies the front porch republic a bit, though.

Bloom:  Absolutely.

Mike:  The front porch republic is only controlled by the front porch.  There’s no one planning anything, right?

Bloom:  I guess so.  I’d say that they’re pretty pro-historic preservation when it comes to that sort of thing.  Honestly, what concerns me about all this media-industrial complex stuff is that there are real victims of it.  The Elizabeth Lauten staffer, she was on the Hill and recently forced out of her job for saying nasty things about the Obama girls, that they need to act classy or something, which is, granted, a rude thing to say.  Maybe you don’t deserve to lose your job over it.

The media just sort of has this gang mentality where they’ll write story after story about how terrible she is until she’s driven out.  I did an interview last week with Pax Dickinson, who was the victim of one of these mobs.  He used to be the CTO of Business Insider and they dug up his tweets and decided he needs to be fired.  Again, some of them were pretty bad.  He’s actually declared war against the media over all this stuff.  He’s raising money on Indiegogo.

Mike:  Can I volunteer for that army?  Paul, are you in?

Paul:  Sure.

Mike:  Paul and I are in.

Bloom:  You can donate money to it.  It’s called Expose Corruption.  He’s got an Indiegogo.  He’s hoping to raise $25,000.  Eventually what it’s going to come down to is a big Wikipedia page with a page for each journalist and the list of their ethical transgressions.

Mike:  What I found most fascinating about — you said Lauten was her — what was the young lady that was fired?  What was her name?

Bloom:  Elizabeth Lauten.

Mike:  Number one, she actually identified something that — she actually had a good story, a good point.  Since when do we have First Daughters?  We have no titles of nobility here.  We have no First Daughter clause that I’m aware of.  Number two, her point made, if she was making it out of a sense of solidarity, as an act of love, as a young Christian woman saying: You know what, girls?  Y’all could dress a little better.  You could dress and represent yourself a little better.  The meat and taters, as I like to call it, of what she said was not offensive at all.  It could be helpful.  The problem is, Jordan, that we’re not allowed to air things that could be helpful.  Just like I, if I try to have a conversation here on this show about this cop that pepper-sprayed these people, if I start talking about: Do you really want to have these police forces that are — tazing and pepper spray, you’ll survive that.  You’re not going to survive the bazooka.  If the same cop is sitting out in the front yard going like: He won’t let us in?  I can take that door out.  That door is gone.

Bloom:  I think you’re absolutely right.  If the staffer had been asking them to look a little more like Miley Cyrus, she probably wouldn’t have gotten the same response.

Mike:  She would have been invited to the White House.
