Mike:  The GOP is in on this.  They are as big government as big government can possibly be.  Yes, there are a few that lean libertarian and a few, you can count them on one hand, strict constructionists, following in the footsteps of Congressman Ron Paul, that don’t vote for anything that’s not constitutional.  Folks, these people are what is known as gadflies.  They’re weirdos.  They’re whackos.  They’re mocked by the alleged conservative press corps, mocked and made fun of, as am I.  I can also guarantee you something.

No one is going to resort to and no one is going to imply that we have a spiritual problem, which is at the root of all these evils.  You remove God, you make room for the anti-God; you know him as Satan.  He is the diabolical — that’s right, Latin for devil, diablos — force that is behind all this stuff.

You should have seen the Twitter feed blowing up after this.  What Christie is proposing — and he’s the first — is what all the other candidates are going to propose.  Some will insist that Obamacare must be repealed.  They will then insist that, [mocking] “Our party needs to come up with market-based solutions.”  Again, there’s no such thing as a market-based solution that is proposed by a member of a governing body.  If they do propose it, then it is a government-based solution.

Now, let me give you a government-based solution that solves the problem.  You’ve got to remember, the political class does not want to solve problems, because if they solve problems, what do we need them for?  We might actually come around to the idea that we could actually govern ourselves using the little subsidiarity concept, a little republicanism, and acknowledging that we all owe homage and obedience to our God.
