Dianne Thinks Fixes Will Take Decades, Wants to Take Baby Steps For Now, Mike Says NO

Mandeville, LA – Exclusive Audio and Transcript – In the 30 years that have elapsed since the Reagan administration, every two and every four years, people have said exactly what Dianne just said: we’re not going to undo this overnight, so we’re just going to take a little baby step.  The little baby step has led to $16 trillion in debt.  It has led to wars that are unfunded and spread throughout the world to the point that the American people don’t even know where their servicemen and women are deployed.  It has led to $220 trillion in unfunded liabilities that cannot be paid back.  I’d say the baby steps back to the path we want to get off is an unmitigated disaster, a provable unmitigated disaster, a cataclysm, an apocalypse, a political apocalypse unequaled in the history of these United States.  Check out the rest in today’s audio and transcript…

Mike:  Dianne is in Michigan next.  Hello, Dianne.

Caller Dianne:  I just wanted to say that the political stratum that has the polar ends here is a continuum.  The progressive movement has been railing down this continuum towards the left end for many, many years.  We’re not going to stop it overnight.  I’m wondering if we should just consider that we’re not going to be able to change this overnight, so we want to, when we vote this year, take the steps that we are able to take to get back in the right direction instead of voting what we really, really believe and voting something that’s probably not going to happen but we feel better when we did what we believe is right and go on for the next four years saying, “We tried.”  Just a thought, that we should consider that this is not going to go backwards overnight.

Mike:  I will guarantee you that I can produce documentation that will show you that some woman named Dianne from Michigan wrote a letter to the editor or an opinion piece or called someone or did something in 1980 that pretty much said exactly what it is that you just said, “It took 40 years for these libs to screw all this up.  We’re taking baby steps by voting for Ronald Reagan.”  At least with Reagan you did have the decidedly positive that he was a Goldwater guy, meaning for most of his political life, which wasn’t very long at that time, he had been somewhat of a strict constructionist.  We also know that in the late 1970s, Reagan, even as president, was one of the biggest promoters of a then-balanced budget amendment to the Constitution, so much so to the point that when he was elected president, one of his first acts was to write to the state legislators and ask them to send Congress the amendment.  Of course, that was done to try and force the Democrat-led Congress to balance the budget and work with him on that.  At least with Reagan in 1980, before there was even a $1 trillion spending mark that had been met, I would say there was something very much to be hopeful for.

Caller Dianne:  It’s what you and I, we know.  We can’t turn the train by you and I ourselves.  We can try and we’re continuing.

Mike:  See, I disagree.  I say we can turn the train by ourselves.

Caller Dianne:  We’re trying and we will, but —

Mike:  Dianne, you’ve taken an awful lot of blue pills and I need to get you to throw those things up.  You can turn the train, my friend, my dear.  Turn your train.  As long as you turn your train, you have done everything that is within your personal sphere and power.  You have accomplished 100 percent of the reformation, my dear.  You do not have to wait 40 years for it to be undone.  You can undo what you can control in your life today.  You don’t have to wait for it.  If we all did that, or if we got ten million people — hell, I’d be happy if we got ten.  If we got ten people to do that, you would have the start of something magical, I believe.  Throw those blue pills up.  You have control over your sphere, your life, and how you interact with this leviathan and with all the creatures that it has created to tempt you.  You need to reject that blue pill.
