Mike:  Let’s go to the Dude Maker Hotline.  Say hello to our old pal Wayne Allyn Root, whose new book The Ultimate Obama Survival Guide: How to Survive, Thrive and Prosper During Obamageddon, is on the line.  Wayne Allyn, how you doing?

Wayne Allyn Root:  Hello, Mike, how are you?

Mike:  I’m good, sir, thank you very much.  What’s going on?

Wayne:  A lot of tragedies and disasters going on that are distracting people, I think, from the real tragedy and disaster.  It’s one thing when these poor people are attacked in Boston or these poor people in Waco and an explosion changes their life and levels the ground.  You’ll stare at it because everybody stares at a car accident, right?  I think the real tragedy is the economic carnage that’s going on every day that’s ruining not 50 lives, not 190 lives, not ripping legs off someone’s body — all horrible things — but the real tragedy is when you are in trouble and you are threatened with losing your job, your home, your family’s legacy, any money you can possibly leave your family one day, and you are scared to survive.  I think what’s happening is the real tragedy is economic.  That’s why I wrote The Ultimate Obama Survival Guide, because all of us are facing a real disaster.  Not 50 of us, not 500 of us, but rather 315 million of us are facing the ultimate disaster, which is another Great Depression.  That’s what I want to talk about today, in a time of other tragedies like Waco and Boston.

Mike:  There are tragedies out there.  There are tragedies every day.

Wayne:  I’ve never seen such bad ones this week.  Boston and Waco are like 9/11-type of tragedies, ones where so many people get hurt and injured that it gets everyone’s attention.  I’m still trying to point out to everyone: watch it, understand it, but don’t be distracted from the real tragedy, which is what if the entire American economy collapses because of the policies of Obama?  And by the way, I’m not being hysterical.  I’ve got the stats in my book to prove it’s on the verge of collapse, and Europe, with those same policies that Obama is pursuing, really has already collapsed.  They are in the beginning stages of a great depression.  It’s coming, folks.  Start staring at the real tragedy.

Mike:  You know, Wayne Allyn, while he was alive, the late, great Murray Rothbard said — this was when we were dealing with a debt of a measly $2 or $3 trillion.  Rothbard said: There’s no way to pay this debt back.  The only thing we can do or hope for is a declaration of insolvency of some sort and to inform our European “investors” that you made a bad investment and you’re not getting your money back; let’s call it even.  That’s when it was between $2 and $3 trillion.  How bad is it now?

Wayne:  Everyone thought the Murray Rothbards of the world were crazy.  They thought the Ross Perots of the world were a little bit off their rockers and they shouldn’t be so hysterical.  Now, I think, it’s time to get hysterical.  It’s not just about debt.  I wish that this was just about debt.  If I could have written a book about debt, then you’d say: Okay, Ross Perot and Murray Rothbard were right.  I really think the tragedy is jobs.  We’ve had debt all these years.  There was terrible debt under one of my heroes, Ronald Reagan, who I think was the best president in modern history.  We still have terrible debt and he helped increase it by still spending a lot of money, especially on national defense.  Having said that, there were lots of jobs.  As a matter of fact, while the debt was terrible, we created 20 million jobs under Reagan and 40 million in the next 20 years after Reagan.  Jobs were plentiful at the same time as debt.

The problem in life is when you have no jobs and big debt.  Throw in major inflation on the way, because the Fed just prints and prints and prints, if that were to hit at the same time – by the way, I’ve always mentioned, while all that’s going on, if a terrorist attack happened, a big one like the size of 9/11, is the country even capable of surviving it this time like it did in 2001 without going into complete collapse and chaos and Armageddon and anarchy in the streets?  I don’t know.  We’re in such bad shape right now, I don’t think we could survive an attack the size of 9/11 as opposed to Boston.  We’re very vulnerable because of our debt.  That’s why I call it the real national — global warming, they said, was a threat to national security and terrorism is a threat to national security.  All of that is true, but nothing is worse than our economy as the threat to national security, especially your kids and your grandkids even more so than us.  The numbers that matter to me are not $100 trillion in debt and unfunded liability.  It’s a terrible number, the second-biggest worry.

republican-shirt-ifyouhavetoask1To me, the number one worry is only 88,000 jobs created last month; 660,000 Americans dropped off the jobs list and aren’t even looking anymore.  And 90 million are not working at all, with the workforce participation rate the lowest since ’79, and for men the lowest since ’48.  Disposable income in January, the lowest in 54 years; 50 million are still on food stamps.  What’s scary about that is that 20 percent of the eligible adult population, 14 million on disability, most of whom have come under Obama and dropped right off of unemployment and went right into disability.  They’re not disabled.  All they are is scared to death of getting up and going to work and finding out there are no jobs.  They want a check for life and they want free healthcare for life.  Retail sales are in contraction.  Consumer confidence, the biggest myth in history last month.  Record-high borrowing from retirement accounts, record student loan default.  One out of every three Illinois residents are in poverty.  Gee, Obama’s ideas worked great.  There are 16.4 million in poverty in this country who live in the suburbs, the supposedly rich suburbs.  Mike, if this isn’t economic disaster and carnage and Armageddon, I don’t know what is.  The mainstream media ignores all of it.

Mike:  Wayne, I’m hosting this show here and I feel like I ought to drive to the Crescent City Connection over the Mississippi River bridge, stop my car, get a 2×12, put it out there and make a plank, walk out, say a couple of prayers and just jump.

Wayne:  You know why you don’t have to?

Mike:  You’re such a fountain of enthusiasm, Wayne.

article-v-pamphlet-adWayne:  I am Mr. Passion and Mr. Enthusiasm.  I speak with evangelical zeal.  I’m trying to, A, get the people’s attention and show them how bad it really is, because they don’t hear it from the Obama-adoring mainstream media.  That’s number one.  Number two, I wrote the book to tell people why it’s happening.  The Ultimate Obama Survival Guide tells you exactly why it’s happening, because this is the Obama policies that ruined Detroit, which hasn’t had a Republican in charge in 50 years and has just used Obama’s policies.  It’s now Baghdad in the middle of America, a third-world hellhole.  I wrote the book to show them there’s a way to get out of it.  Texas, which treats taxpayers wonderful and therefore got 500,000 new residents from one state in the last ten years, California, and leads the nation in jobs more than the other 49 states combined.  It works when you treat taxpayers well and you lower their taxes and you have an $8 billion surplus and a balanced budget and you don’t like unions or lawyers.

Speaking of all these events, lots of lawsuits.  Guess what?  Lawsuits destroy jobs.  Lawyers destroy jobs.  You allow lawsuits.  There can’t be a law against lawsuits.  Texas limits them.  You can’t file stupid lawsuits.  They’re the best state in the country of limiting the power of lawyers to file lawsuits and no wonder they have the most jobs in the country.  Then I wrote the book to give everybody hope because there’s a way for all of us to thrive and prosper over the next four years, even while Obama is making big mistakes and ruining the American economy.  I’ve got an 18-point plan in my book from the richest men in America, how they plan to make a fortune on Barack Obama and you can, too.  So there is good news in this.  First I’ve got to get you scared and get your attention so you understand how bad things really are.

fabfour-shirtMike:  Wayne Allyn Root, whose book is The Ultimate Obama Survival Guide, is on the Dude Maker Hotline.  Wayne Allyn, tell the audience, how did you like your fill-in stint when you sat in for me a couple weeks back?

Wayne:  I loved it, but I can’t love it too much.  You’re the king.  You’re the boss.  I’m not aiming for you or anything.  I enjoyed being the guest host; it was a fun time.  I will tell you the drawback, though.  I live in Las Vegas, so I’m on West Coast time.  For me, it was three in the morning till six in the morning.  That’s a rough hour.  You’re a little bit better in New Orleans.  It’s just important to keep educating the people, and that’s why I love making, whether it’s guest hosts or guest appearances — I was on Fox News on Monday, the first day my book was out.  We all know the Boston terror attack hit.  That kind of distracted everyone and killed all my afternoon media.  Despite that, the book went to the number one finance book on Amazon in the country, in the world, the number one conservative book in the world at Amazon, and the number 21 book out of all 3 million books of any kind sold at Amazon.  You know that people are desperate, Mike.  You know they want to hear solutions to the frightening times that we live in, the economic times we live in, so that they can prosper for their families.  That’s what everybody cares about.

Mike:  Let me jump in here for a moment.  Wayne Allyn Root is on the Dude Maker Hotline with us.  You were Bob Barr’s running mate in 2008, which would make you a libertarian of some sort.  There’s an awful lot of talk these days, just to get on a different subject for a moment, about the, I don’t know if it’s the resurgence or the insurgence of libertarianism and how it now is poised to be, as G. Gordon Liddy used to say, a virile, vigorous and potent part of the Republican Party.  What do you make of all that?

Wayne:  Well, listen, libertarians certainly tell the truth.  They don’t sugarcoat it and they tell you where we should go, where we should be as a country, as an economy, what the answers are.  They’re very honest about it.  The trouble is, I don’t think you can get elected if you don’t sugarcoat it.  What you’ve got is the only two parties of being elected, Republican and Democrat, who both sugarcoat the answers and they both won’t go as far as I’m going.  You won’t get a politician on the phone that will ever tell you, I don’t think, who will tell you the real truth about how bad the economy really is.  We’re sitting on the edge of a cliff.  Literally Obama solved the fiscal cliff crisis by raising another $4 trillion in debt.  He didn’t lower the debt to solve the debt crisis; he increased the debt crisis to supposedly solve the debt crisis.  It’s not going to work.  All the Republicans who voted for that bill are complete idiots or sheep.

Mike:  They’re complicit.

Wayne:  They are, I’m sad to say it.  I moved back to the Republican Party because I realized you couldn’t get elected as a third party in this country.  A guy that I like politically, obviously not his decision-making when it comes to women, but Mark Sanford, the former governor of South Carolina is certainly my kind of politics.  You notice he’s not a libertarian even though he’s libertarian-thinking.  He’s a Republican.  Ron Paul wasn’t a libertarian, he was at one point, but yo notice he got elected as a Republican.  Rand Paul, his son, figured out the only way to be a U.S. senator was as a Republican.  My goal for 2016 is becoming a United States senator in the State of Nevada and replacing Harry Reid, the U.S. Senate majority leader, as a Republican.  There’s no other way to get elected, unfortunately, in the American system.  I love libertarians and libertarianism, but I’m a libertarian conservative, or what I call a Reagan libertarian.

Mike:  Wayne, we’re going to have to leave it there.  The book is The Ultimate Obama Survival Guide: How to Survive, Thrive and Prosper During Obamageddon,   Wayne Allyn Root at your service.  Get it at Amazon.  We’ll link to it today.  Wayne, thank you for your time, brother.  Good to hear from you.

Wayne:  Thanks.  Believe it or not, there is hope, Mike.  In the book is hope on how you can survive, thrive and prosper.  Yes, The Ultimate Obama Survival Guide gives you good news, believe me.  We’ll get to it next time.  Thanks, Mike.

Mike:  Anytime.  Wayne Allyn Root there, folks.
