This has triggered a predictable Trump Derangement Syndrome response from the usual deranged suspects. Including Shrieker Pelosi.

Actually The Founders wouldn’t have had racial integration in mind because they lived in ethnically segregated societies. Don’t believe me? Well, can you explain the Constitution’s clause that only “natural born citizens” can become President and only citizens, naturalized for 10 years can become members of the House or the Senate. I wouldn’t expect Pelosi to know this but I would expect her to know that she shouldn’t be telling citizens to defy valid federal statutes being carried out by validly empowered federal agents.
It should be a sign to us that today’s Catholic Gospel reading is the Good Samaritan, where Jesus teaches us to love our neighbors as ourselves and treat them with mercy. New Orleans Is Sinking & Why The Levees Must Die
From a 2018 Atlantic story “How Humans Sank New Orleans” we learn.
Subsidence continued even as more and more people moved into subsiding areas. While the vast majority of New Orleans’s 300,000 residents lived above sea level in the early 1900s, only 48 percent remained above the water in 1960, when the city’s population peaked at 627,525. That year, 321,000 residents lived on former swamp, over which time they dropped into a series of topographical bowls four to seven feet below sea level.

New Orleanians Just Informed Their New $14.6 Billion Levees Are Sinking
I mentioned this story on today’s show, the NOLA levees are sinking…DUHHH…because the subsidence can only be combatted by allowing the perennial flood over the land including MODEST levees! I have grown tired of talking about the “how much does ‘Muricah owe, Roger?” comedy routine and its real world implications but the looming fiscal disaster that ‘Muricah is staring down is so enormous it is akin to the earth being on a collision course with the center of the Sun being led by a cabal of “pilots” assuring us that “evasive maneuvers will kick in any minute, remain calm!! Terrence P Jeffrey reports that

The numbers are so enormous that they’ve become anachronisms that are about as important as choosing between a “Buffalo (bison) Nickel” and the Jefferson version. More from Jeffrey.
Total federal tax revenues in the first nine months of fiscal 2019 hit $2,608,855,000,000. That was more than the $2,582,688,760,000 in total tax revenue (in constant June 2019 dollars) that the Treasury collected in the first nine months of fiscal 2018, but less than the record $2,626,410,840,000 (in constant June 2019 dollars) that the Treasury collected in total tax revenues in the first nine months of fiscal 2015. The difference between the $2,608,855,000,000 in total taxes collected in the first nine months of this fiscal year and the record spending of $3,355,970,000,000 left the government with a deficit of $747,115,000,000.
That last figure is in BILLIONS, recall that a billion is one thousand, million dollars so the deficit is thus SEVEN HUNDRED FORTY SEVEN, THOUSAND MILLION DOLLARS.
