Dehumanizing Troops With “Boots On The Ground” Slogan

Liberty the God that Failed smallMandeville, LA – Exclusive Transcript “I have talked about boots on the ground.  I used similar terminology to say: Is it a boot or is it a soldier whose foot is inside of a boot?  Joe, your instincts are marvelous, wonderful.  You’ve got a beautiful mind there.  You figured out, and they have figured out, that to say “boots on the ground” is to dehumanize it.”  Check out today’s transcript for the rest….

Mike:  This is Joe in Virginia next up.   Hello, Joe, how you doing?

Caller Joe:  Great, Mike.  How you doing?

Mike:  I’m well, sir, thank you.

Caller Joe:  Just real quick, I saw a Real Clear Politics thing yesterday, I think it’s a Pew poll, that says 70 percent of American war hawks want to put boots on the ground to fight ISIS, ISIL, whatever.  Some friends of mine, we’re military, and we want you to start a movement to kill that term “boots on the ground.”  Boots don’t bleed.  My Humvee got hit last time I was in Iraq.  My boots’ eardrums didn’t bleed.  My boots don’t have a family.  My boots don’t have parents.  It’s easy to think of an inanimate object like that and think: Yeah, let’s put boots on the ground.  Let’s drop some boots from a plane.  Those boots are attached to people.  I think the American sheeple are just – it’s easy to think of us as boots.  That’s a commitment, that’s no skin off their nose.  I’d like you to start humanizing because I like your just war theory.  I ascribe to it.  These people may not understand, you’re talking about throwing human bodies back into that meat grinder.  Let me tell you, the first time was not fun.

Mike:  Well said.  I have talked about boots on the ground.  I used similar terminology to say: Is it a boot or is it a soldier whose foot is inside of a boot?  Joe, your instincts are marvelous, wonderful.  You’ve got a beautiful mind there.  You figured out, and they have figured out, that to say “boots on the ground” is to dehumanize it.  It gives the war hawk that lusts so desperately after war, war, war, kill, kill, kill, it gives them something that they can attach their lust to.  Then the cheering “USA! USA!” throngs can attach their lust to it.  It doesn’t sound like it actually cost anyone anything.

boots_on_the_groundCaller Joe:  I like the warrior poet mindset in that you’re not going to find a bigger anti-war person than the guy that’s got to go fight it.  More of us think the way you think.  We’re not standing here yelling: USA! USA!  We’re standing here going: Hey, wait a minute, are you guys coming with us?  Are you American sheeple coming with us?  Are you sending your kid?  I’ll go if I’m told.

Mike:  Joe, when I talked about this yesterday and about the new poll that says 62 percent of Americans want boots on the ground, I believe the question they asked was: Do you want soldiers?  This means that at least somewhere between 25 to 40 percent of those that fancy themselves pro-life, if I’m doing my math correctly, actually don’t believe that there is any pro-life issue involved in “boots on the ground” in countries that you can’t even point to on a map and haven’t even contemplated it or considered it.  I think it is the hallmark of the people that have totally lost their way morally and have no concept of anything outside of their own little bubble.  That includes the television, a computer, and a smartphone.  That’s the bubble.

Mike has been talking about many different ways to deal with the American Union & it’s attack dog, the “Federal” government – There’s Article V & Nullification too!

They’ve never smelled gunpowder and sulfur, and the ones that have, they don’t want to smell it again.  Let me rephrase that.  They wish to only have to smell it in the most extreme existential circumstance.  They don’t want that smell again.  There is a disconnect.  Brother, I’m with you.  You know that I do all that I can do – perhaps I don’t do enough.

Caller Joe:  You do great.  You and Wilkow, if you want to start the “stop the boots on the ground” movement.  I appreciate it anyway.

Mike:  I like it.  I’m going to think about it.  God bless you, brother.  Please, state stateside and safe.  Don’t let the madmen deploy you, and they will.
