Mandeville, LA – Mike Church‘s daily Pile of Prep, Welcome to mikechurch.com 2015 Edition. When Michelle Bachman vowed to read the Constitution at the start of the 2010 Congress and “bring back the Constitution” the stage was set for balanced budgets and end to undeclared wars, the repeal of Obamacare and…. yeah, that didn’t happen so what makes anyone think it will be different this time?  Read along with Mike’s historical viewpoint to help make sense of it all plus other [r]epublican stories used to perform the Mike Church Show on Sirius/XM Patriot channel 125. “To bring the matter nearer home, have we not seen the greatest and most important of our offices, that of general of our armies, executed for eight years together, without the smallest salary, by a patriot whom I will not now offend by any other praise; and this, through fatigues and distresses, in common with the other brave men, his military friends and companions, and the constant anxieties peculiar to his station? And shall we doubt finding three or four men in all the United States with public spirit enough to bear sitting in peaceful council, for, perhaps, an equal term, merely to preside over our civil concerns, and see that our laws are duly executed? Sir, I have a better opinion of our country. I think we shall never be without a sufficient number of wise and good men to undertake and execute well and faithfully the office in question.” – Benjamin Franklin at the Federal Convention of 1787, predicting a future that evaporated (you can SEE this scene dramatized in My Spirit of ’76 film on DVD and on the companion 3-CD set)

Bill Donahue of the Catholic League says the Mohammedans were right to be angry at the filth and blasphemy published by French smut mag Charlie Hebdo. There is an outraged world of libertarian “free speech” proponents that seem to believe that the term carries with it an insurance policy to commit any moral atrocity imaginable as long as you claim it’s “free speech”. Is that how we WANT that to work?

Recall that the Sultan Mehmed, threatened to decapitate every woman and child in Vienna if King Leopold didn’t convert to Islam. He sent a letter outlining his intentions. The point being, Europe has been attacked by the Prophet’s hordes since the 8th century

In 1944, George Orwell made some “Notes on Salvador Dali” and his “art”. Recall that Dali was very much the Charlie Hebdo of his time. “The point is that you have here a direct, unmistakable assault on sanity and decency; and even–since some of Dali’s pictures would tend to poison the imagination like a pornographic postcard–on life itself. What Dali has done and what he has imagined is debatable, but in his outlook, his character, the bedrock decency of a human being does not exist. He is as anti-social as a flea. Clearly, such people are undesirable, and a society in which they can flourish has something wrong with it.” Was Orwell correct? Was there a sanctified moral code that trumps any Lockean ideals of “liberty” when they clash? This is the point I have been trying to make the 2 years, we should have been able to,. as a civilization, condemn the blasphemous “art” of Charlie and still retain our “liberty”, provided that liberty is grounded in subsidiarity and solidarity.

The Boehner Strikes Back: Cue the Dom Dom Dede Dum Do——m, Dom Dom Dede Dum Do——m (Imperial March). There was celebrating in Mordor last night with the $3.9 TRILLION booty to be divvied up, secured by The Boehner’s re-election as Speaker, Mordor partied like it’s 1999

The Boehner Strikes Back II: More details emerge on the punishment The Boehner is visiting on the heads of those Congressman who dared challenge his elite right to power. This abuse, properly viewed, is actually visited on the heads of those teat suckling constituents of the Congressmen in question. Is THAT [r]epublican? Fair!?

I think it is safe to say that Patrick J Buchanan has had it with the GOP war machine and their growing litany of outright lies used to justify the military expansion and muscle flexing across the globe, this time over Russai’s ALLEGED INVASION of George and Ukraine.

The Boehner Strikes Back III: Boehner punishes those who dared oppose his coronation as “Speaker of The House (of Representin’). Of course we have to get this news from British newspapers. One of the caualties was the reliable libertarian Rep. Justin Amash of MI

TIC: Why are there “presidential libraries” and why should one be built nay subsidized for President Herbert Hoover!? Brad Birzer calls these buildings and the men they are dedicated to: Treason to a republic.

Of gooses and ganders at Harvard. Obamacare has struck…. at Harvard and the Godless, progressive hacks who teach there are in an uproar over what they helped create with their theories and arrogance. Still I wish no harm on anyone, including the Libtards who promoted ObamaCare and now have to live under it. Pray….

MBD reminds us of the charms of a Mike Huckabee candidacy for the GOP nomination including the fact that he couldn’t resist poking at Mitt Romney’s Mormon “faith” and digging “he looks more like the guy that FIRES you rather than guy that HIRES you.”

What if today’s “conservative” politicos had a devotion to right over wrong, oath over expedience, the Constitution as a finite limitation over a flashing caution light like St Thomas More? More was famously executed/martyred by that monster Henry VIII because he would not ecclesiastically recognize his marriage to Ann Boleyn. What this epoch we live in is missing are REAL HEROES. Of St Thomas, Regis Martin writes. Seeing his daughter, Margaret, on his way to the scaffold—to the place where, by his own admission, ‘the King’s good servant, but God’s first,’ is destined to die—he exhorts her to have patience, ‘and trouble not thyself. Death comes for us all; even at our birth—(He holds her head and looks down at it for a moment in recollection)—even at our birth, death does but stand aside a little. And every day he looks towards us and muses somewhat to himself whether that day or the next he will draw nigh. It is the law of nature, and the will of God.’

Peter Schiff: If falling gas prices are “stimulus’ for the economy why aren’t falling bread and milk prices? Only in the afactual, theoretical world of “economists” are falling prices viz Deflatiion, bad things

The GayStapo strikes again, this time claiming the career of Atlanta’s Fire Chief for calling homosexuality what IT IS: immoral. One wonders when the GayStapo will demand that the works of St Paul be fired-practically-…. oh wait, they’re found in that book, what’s it called, The Bible?

Lil’ Ricky Santorum is baaaa-aaaack – I hate being right in predictions as yet another one comes to pass: Rick Santorum will rejoin the over-the-hill-gang of GOP Usual Suspects in the 2016 race for the GOP nomination

DeceptiCONNED: The Right vs Left’s biggest promoter, FoxNews heralds great tidings of “conservative” joy: The incoming freshman class of  “conservatives” are diverse and they are “outspoken” on their intentions for “the American people”. I’m happy this will give some of our Civil Religion’s high priests great talking points but let’s review…

…FLASHBACK: The incoming class of 2010 had just kicked the ObamaCare Democrats out and were promising the conservative world a litany of agenda items ALL ANCHORED TO THE CONSTITUTION, which was read aloud in the House by Michelle Bachman. few of which ever materialized as Tea Party darlings like Kristi Noem were immediately co-opted by The Boehner and began attending lobbyist parties.

The Passion of Holy Mother Church continues as Europe has closed nearly all it’s ancient churches while entire orders of friars and monks cannot draw the young religious to vocations. This was predicted by Pope Leo XIII and Pope Pius X alongside hundreds of other mystics and clergy and, most notably, by Our Lady at Fatima who warned the “…nations of the world will repeat Russia’s errors” (if Russia did not consecrate to the Blessed Virgin). Ironically, the religious orders that are growing are the ancient Traditional Latin Mass orders e.g. FSSP priests, who were nearly annihilated with the force fed introduction of the Novus Ordo (New Mass) in 1969. This, while Western civ teeters on the edge of perdition precisely because The Light… READ THE ENTIRE ESSAY BY MIKE HERE

The problem of communicating the Incorporation Doctrine and Nomocractic Constitutions is rooted in the U.s.’s collective imbecility, brought on by our obsession with national solutions to all problems which require national acts of The State. To today’s yewts, there is the U.S.A., “America”, today and there is Somalia.

Imaginative Conservative: Absolute comfort corrupts absolutely. The civilization that thinks it has everything has nothing, as Christ told us “He who is exalted will be humbled; he that is humble shall be exalted”, and it all starts in THE HOME.

DeceptiCONNED II: Deposed Congressman Eric Cantor waxes about his prescriptions to “fix the economy” because the lives on 8 million plus children are at stake. Of course the SOULS of 8 million plus children are at stake too, yet there doesn’t seem to be an advocate to assist them

The inclination of some Framers to have the Federal government operate as our civic religion were present at “the founding”. We see this in the speech given by Rawlins Landes in the SC Ratifying Convention. “Far be it from me to suppose that such an attempt should ever be made: the good sense and virtue of our country forbid the idea. To the Union we will look up, as to the temple of our freedom — a temple founded in the affections, and supported by the virtue, of the people. Here we will pour out our gratitude to the Author of all good, for suffering us to participate in the rights of a people who govern themselves.”

FROM NOMOCRACY IN POLITICS: Start your New Years reading with Allen Mendenhall’s essential essay on the differences between a Nomocratic and a Teleocratic constitution. I used lower case for constitution because Mendenhall’s subject, nomocracy, will apply to nearly any constitution written by men for the governance of men…

Then follow the footnotes and dive into Kevin Gutzman’s review of a book that sits on my shelf “Original Intentions of the Constitution of The United States” by one of my favorite authors, the late M.E. Bradford

Viva [r]epublicans! Our old friend Rep. Louie Gohmert has decided to run for the office of Speaker of the House of Representin’ against Speaker Boehner. We’ll see if the DeceptiCON Caucus has the votes to secure their $3.8 trillion booty

Viva [r]epublicans II: Louie Gohmert for Speaker website, I wonder if Speaker Boehner is crying over it

jesus-cleansing-the-templeI recently listened to a Priest call, from the pulpit, for men to start being Men again and to call out the deluge of heresy and apostasy we are surrounded by for what they are. Let’s start with the apostasy if not outright blasphemy on display at the Daily Kos via Leslie Salzillo. Ms. Sazillo (I mean the Ms. in the Betty Friedan sense of the word) calls on Pope Francis to abandon the unborn, sanctify “reproductive rights” and then finish this heresy trifecta with an endorsement of homosexuals who by definition cannot procreate (so why would they need reproductive rights?). I pray that the calumny she has heaped on Cardinal Burke inspires his fidelity to the “archaic” teachings of Christ, embodied in the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.

Fr. John Hardon’s essay on St Augustine being a role model for the recovery of our virtue and modesty is a great place to start reading in 2015

DeceptiCONNED: Get ready for Hucakbee 2.0 as the GOP lines up it’s Usual Suspect lineup of “conservatives” to pontificate on GOP debate stages and fill the hearts of “conservatives” with hopes of Reagan 2.0. This is the WORST thing that can happen to the “conservative movement” perhaps giving us yet another reason to ditch the term in favor of [r]epublican & c.

Jack Hunter wonders if “conservatives” will ever drop their dogmatic opposition to the things believed and then said by black Americans? If “conservatives” were the “Christians” they claim to be then we would have seen public exhortations that racism is sinful and the humble thing to do is accept what black’s say at face value and evangelize to turn them to the Christian point of view

The decline of our civilization can be seen in so many ways including. ” The more useful barometer of the life expectancy of any civilization is the degree to which the populace at large is willing to accept insolent, insulting, bare-faced falsehoods in their midst without umbrage and without objection.” So saith atheist turned Catholic sci-fi author John C Wright at One Peter Five

Gal Queda at the Catholic altar: The damage done to religious vocations and the especially the priesthood by the “advent of altar girls” is deconstructed with statistics. To those who claim “women are second citizens” in Holy Mother Church I reply: you must not know of the Manly devotion so many carry to the Blessed Virgin Mary, what higher honor and station can a woman hold than “Salve Regina!” or “Hail, Holy Queen!”

Read Mike’s essay on New Years Resolutions and avoid making the mistake of resolving to commit the deadly sins of Pride, Lust and Vanity which most resolutions require.

The irreligious Rhode Island Constitution DOES NOT protect R.I. Catholics from forced apostasy: A Pair of Providence R.I. firefighters who tried to refuse their official participation in a 2001 “Pride parade” lose in the R.I. Supreme Court, using the R.I. Constitution…improperly.

What Does the R.I. Constitution say about religious liberty?

§ 3. Freedom of religion   Whereas Almighty God hath created the mind free; and all attempts to influence it by temporal punishments or burdens, or by civil incapacitations, tend to beget habits of hypocrisy and meanness; and whereas a principal object of our venerable ancestors, in their migration to this country and their settlement of this state, was, as they expressed it, to hold forth a lively experiment that a flourishing civil state may stand and be best maintained with full liberty in religious concernments; we, therefore, declare that no person shall be compelled to frequent or to support any religious worship, place, or ministry whatever, except in fulfillment of such person’s voluntary contract; nor enforced, restrained, molested, or burdened in body or goods; nor disqualified from holding any office; nor otherwise suffer on account of such person’s religious belief; and that every person shall be free to worship God according to the dictates of such person’s conscience, and to profess and by argument to maintain such person’s opinion in matters of religion; and that the same shall in no wise diminish, enlarge, or affect the civil capacity of any person.”

Ron Paul has a list of 10 tasks Congress could resolve to tackle in 2015

DeceptiCONNED: We begin 2015 with the ascendant DeceptiCONS, spilling trillions of wasted pixels and a few gallons of printing ink to make the lousy, deadly, arrogant case that the U.S. is not “good” unless it “polices the world…using broken windows theory”
