McCarthy: End “Birthright Citizenship” But End It By Congressional Statute – My old buddy Andy McCarthy is all for ending birthright citizenship but he thinks Congress should do it and even then it would only have a 50/50 shot at surviving a court challenge. I think McCarthy is optimistic on the court challenge and that’s the rub: if we KNOW that the intent of the amendment was NOT to make children born of foreigners American citizens then why the seemingly intractable devotion to a perverted, destructive interpretation!? Tell the judiciary to pound sand and use the executive branch to enforce the darned thing correctly!

So many aspects of Halloween drive us towards a shared American civic liturgy: the ancient historical traditions that intersect among the many cultures that share our nation; the communal gatherings, which still exist in such forms as fall festivals; and, of course, neighborhood trick-or-treating. As American history demonstrates, the holiday has always been an essentially communal one.

Pity that the “shared liturgy” isn’t the one given us in the form of All Hallowed’s Eve i.e. the day before All Saints Day!

Just Say No: The Papa Francis Option, An Official Copout For Lukewarm, Catholic Ninnies – It had to happen. The culmination of the anti-Pope’s CRUSADE, the anti-Church needed to become its own “thing”, so say hello to The Francis Option for Evangelizing a World in Flux (I’m not making this up). This is badddddd folks and not even original. From the “Option” piece by Austen Ivereigh we get “the plan”.

“Both [Rod] Dreher and Francis agree — in line with Benedict XVI, and with the forecast in Romano Guardini’s 1950 The End of the Modern World — that Christendom is over and irrecoverable, and that it is futile and counter-productive to invest energy and resources in unwinnable political battles that only reinforce the idea of Christianity as a set of ethical precepts that the Church seeks to impose via the state. new meeting place today is the “cloud”, characterized by instability since everything evaporates and thus loses consistency’… Yet where Dreher advocates a strategy of resistance and retreat into what he calls ‘stable communities of faith’, little islands ‘of sanctity and stability amid the high tide of liquid modernity’, Francis, drawing on the vision of Vatican II mediated through the Latin American pastoral experience of the people of God, calls for something far more radical: the rebirth of a new Christian culture.”

What, what what! the Hades is wrong the current and the old “Christian”!? Dreher unpacks much of what is wrong with Ivereigh’s “Option” in this piece co-written by Catholic activist Larry Chapp who has founded and lives on the Dorothy Day Catholic Workers Farm. Chapp’s response begins with a statement of what should be obvious: Pope Francis isn’t Catholic in the classical sense of the word and neither is his gang of homosexual apologists and “pastoral mercy” dealers (read, sin enablers).

“the “Francis Option” that seeks only to build bridges and to build a new Christian culture from below by reminding people of God’s mercy. You cannot make this up. Are they this naive? Do they really think the issue is that people are alienated from the Church because they think it lacks mercy? That people are just waiting around for God to forgive them of their sins? Do they not know that it is the very concept of sin that has been rejected and thus the entire Christian narrative, root and branch, has been rejected? These people really do not get it. Or maybe they do. Maybe they know that nobody is waiting for mercy and all they want to do is approve of what is happening in the culture.” [emphasis mine – M.C.]

Hilltops, farms in the middle of nowhere, catacombs were part of our humorous “what are they going to force us into next” dialogue – its not funny anymore, its actually happening and its happening fast. Stern laughed, his boobus engineerus crew laughed but its not funny. Sin is being normalized and good humor is being banned.

The ChiComs Are NOT Going All Catholic-y – The Catholic News Agency reports the latest act of Comunist rage against the rising Catholic Faith in China: The destruction of a pair of shrines to Our Lady.

According to reports from AsiaNews, government authorities destroyed the Marian shrines of Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows in Dongergou (Shanxi), and Our Lady of Bliss, also known as Our Lady of the Mountain, in Anlong (Guizhou). The shrines were pilgrimage sites for both the official Chinese Catholic Church and the “underground” Catholic Church in China.

So much for Papa Francis’ “trust the Chinese government” pronouncements.

What To Think of The Pittsburg Massacre? That It Was NOT Trump’s Fault – David Harsanyi comments on the massacre of Jews attending services at a Pittsburg Synagogue.

If you think Trump should bring down the temperature, you have a point. If you think Trump should turn down the temperature but you fail to mention that a progressive yelling about “health care” tried to assassinate the entire GOP leadership on a baseball field, you don’t really care about the temperature. If you fail to mention that Democrats have been accusing Republicans of wanting to the kill the poor and young, of trying to destroy the planet, of being “terrorists” after every school shooting, you don’t care about the temperature. And if your first instinct is to play politics with tragedy for partisan gain, you are part of the problem.

Ba-alifornia Is Now Actually Promoting Itself As A Satanic Destination – If you drive Interstate 5 in Ba’alifornia you will see two signs of the “Adopt a Highway” type that read “The Art of Satan”…. no joke. John Horvat has started a petition to have them removed but what ought to really be removed is legalized acceptance of religious plurality that makes this stuff possible. Michael Moore Distributes Film Showing The Hot Dog Bomber At Trump Rally – Moore sent a film crew to a Trump rally in Florida shortly after Trump’s inauguration and lo and behold – there is Cesar Sayoc – the man fingered as the Hot Dog Bomber, weilding a “CNN Sucks” sign similar to the one plastered on the side of his now infamous #MAGA Bomber van. What Moore does with the footage is try and paint Sayoc as a typical MAGA fan with “fear in his eyes”, a fear that “10,000 years of patriarchy” is being stolen from men like him by Hillary et al. I don’t know who’s more psychotic, Sayoc for his unhinged political activism or Moore for his unhinged view of everyone that disagrees with him as being a threat to civilization.

Trick Or Treat Saint Charlie [Brown]! – John Horvat asks the question: Can Halloween be Re-Christianized? In his exploration Horvat weaves a detailed history of the “holiday” (a word conjugated from the Catholic calendar’s myriad of “Holy days”) and then asks the titular question.

“Thus, any Christianized celebration of Halloween needs to reinforce the idea that there is a cultural battle going on between the forces of good and evil. Hell exists, and its fires must be avoided. What better way to demonstrate these truths than to point out the macabre manifestations of evil that appear everywhere during Halloween.”

Translation: Start celebrating Halloween as a Catholic, invite others to join you and pray for those who refuse.

“Father” Guimond also claims to be the prior of the Basilica of Our Lady of Sorrows and was holding meetings of his “Rainbow Warriors” there until Lifesite News broke the story in great detail and asked for comment.

After LifeSiteNews contacted the archdiocese and the order, the Rainbow Warrior Facebook page disappeared, and the ManKindPride meetup site listing Our Lady of Sorrows as the group’s meeting site now lists it as meeting elsewhere.

Every 500 Years There Is A Revolt Against Catholicism…The One We’re In Right Now Is The Worst of All – Ben Wicker gets right to the point in his essay about the cyclical, 500 year attack, weakening near death, revival cycle the Catholic Church endures but fears this one may take the whole edifice down with it, resulting in, you guessed it…. “catacombs dude.”

Wicker may not realize his minor contradiction here: The Church’s leaders ARE secularists, thus their flight away from orthodoxy and into novelty that’s now given way to normalizing perversion, cannot be of holy origins as surely as the pagan’s perversions it replaced were.

FLASHBACK-In July, 2015, The Remnant Newspaper Profiled The Mike Church Show – Membah…membah!? Fast forward to November of that year and Chris writes a followup “Too Catholic For Satellite Radio”. Thanks to Papa Francis deliberate attempt to bring an end to the Catholic Church by claiming he can change dogma (the licit Death Penalty), I am becoming #Too Catholic For Lukewarm Catholic Radio. As Padré Gaetano tells us in Humility of Heart: “And has not a saint abundant reasons, from the thought of his own weakness, to live always in a state of great humility, when he knows that from one hour to another he may lose the grace of God and the kingdom of heaven which he has merited by years of laboriously-acquired virtues? “Unless the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it.”
