Campaign Finance Laws Make Toothpaste, & Michael Cohen, Criminals

Bradley Smith is a former chairman of the Federale Election Conundrum-FEC- so knows a bit about the law that was allegedly applied to Michael Foley and will now be used to impeach President Trump; but Smith doesn’t think Foley did anything wrong:

The candidate who thinks “I need to brush my teeth, shower, and put on a nice suit today in order to campaign effectively” is surely not required to report as campaign expenditures his purchases of toothpaste, soap, and clothing. When he eats his Wheaties — breakfast of champions, and surely one cannot campaign on an empty stomach — his cereal and milk are not campaign expenses. When he drives to his office to start making phone calls to supporters, his gas is not a campaign expense.

Many a pundit hath been spilling barrels of ink over the impending impeachment of Trump with others spilling tanker truckloads of “there is no ‘there’, there”. Smith’s piece goes a long way toward settling the question. In watching Foley’s ersatz perp walk yesterday I noted his beautiful yet horrifed daughters and wife were by his side, shell-shocked at what was happening to their father/husband; did any of the SJW snowflakes clamoring for Foley’s destruction and ruin consider for a moment that the man has a family relying on him for support as a Father and Husband?

It Is NOT Time To Surrender To The TrannyMammy™ Mob

Yesterday we covered the tragedy of VA High School teacher Peter Vlaming who was fired from his gig because he refused to address a female student as a male when she announced her “transition”. The School board rushed into a special meeting, heard Vlaming’s defense then voted unanimously to send this “bigot” packing. The reaction to Vlaming’s demise has been quick and putrid: we are beaten and have no alternative than to surrender sanity to the enemy. From Rod Dreher’s blog I found this comment on the matter.

Time to start giving up on arguments altogether. No argument will work. The time is already past. You probably have about 2-4 years until they ban you from Twitter, etc., and the payment processor company you use to allow people to pay for subscriptions or to make donations tells you to take a hike with your hateful bigotry. You can see, I can see, and more and more people can see the direction things are going.

So what? We were instructed to expect to lose on argumentation, evidence and reason; to endure persecution and even martyrdom but to never surrender The Faith when it is correctly applied.

Irish Eyes Descend Into The Evil of Human Sacrifice

When Ireland “legalized” sodomy by a popular vote the writing was on the wall: Ireland is no longer Catholic and has become more pagan and evil than when Saint Patrick converted her. Now comes word that the new, voter-approved “right” of abortion is about to become a sacrament that will be compulsory for the public to fund and doctors to perform.

The Dáil rejected a number of amendments that would have moderated the radical pro-abortion bill. Earlier Wednesday, TDs rejected an amendment to require parental consent for girls under 16 who want abortions. They also voted against amendments to ban sex-selection abortions and taxpayer-funded abortions and to require basic medical care for infants born alive after botched abortions. Irish Legal reports they also rejected an amendment to provide better conscience protections for doctors. The bill demands that doctors who refuse to abort unborn babies refer women to a doctor who will.

Once the evil one gains a foothold he moves with lightning speed to enhance his gains and deprive as many souls as possible from a chance at a blessed eternity. The Irish are giving in to this evil far too easily to advance any explanation for it outside of they’ve lost the Faith.

Don’t Mess With Momma

A Bradento FL woman is refusing to remove a painting of Our Lay of Guadlaupe from her trailer park front window, even after being threatened with a lawsuit! She even had the painting blessed but that’s not deterring the Mammon mob that’s determined to score a victory over this inspiring momma.

“There’s all kinds of stuff out there, but this is because I’m Catholic and it’s wrong,” Francis said. “If I have to go to court, then I have to go,” she said. “I don’t know what to do. I can’t take this anymore, but I can’t see it coming down. It’s not hurting anyone. They don’t have to look at it if they don’t like it, so I don’t understand why they are against me, but it’s going to stay.”

This woman is 85 years old and has more zeal for the faith than most priests half her age!

November was one of the coldest on record and snowfall totals have been the highest in the last 50 years. Oh, and its cold outside, so, you know, baby….

Dreher has responded by basically confirming Father Munkelt’s charge: you and I (and Rod) DON’T GET A VOTE on dogma, neither does Papa Francis. This is why Regina Magazine’s Beverly Stevens founded a Facebook corner for “Rigids” (full disclosure-I am a member!). Thanks to Rod for justifying the name:

“His kind of rigidity and turgid intellectualism is one reason that as a Catholic, I never could consider myself a traditionalist, though I really did try.”

Wait, it gets better, Rigids, we’re also “haters”! [emphasis mine]

“Trads are hard done by in the Catholic Church, especially under this papacy, but it is hard to see that this priest’s kind of traditionalism is about much more than mastering the arguments, arranging one’s HATES just-so, and pulling the longest, most mulish face in the room. THEY have found the One True Faith, and boy, are they pissed off about it!

Told Ya So: The Pervs at Tumblr Didn’t Get Ethics, They Got Bounced Checks

Rod Dreher has a followup to the Tumblr Bans Porn story I covered on yesterday’s show (listen here). Apparently Tumblr is the online meeting place where future pseudo women (men with vaginoplasty) go to post pictures of medical doctor’s mutilation of their bodies to achieve a little less suicidal temptations. Seriously folks, the following appeared in the WaPo on the subject. Note the “Paper of Record’s” new, self-incriminating, motto: “Democracy Dies in Darkness”!

It’s a setback not only to the many sex workers, kink fans and artists who populate the site but also to the Tumblr ethos itself, which drew in so many queer people and made us feel at home, especially those of us in remote parts of the country without an immediate community to connect to. Explicit content played a crucial part in creating that space, so it’s unsurprising the ban has been widely received as Tumblr’s death knell.

The Incredible Virtue of Jamie Schmidt, Continued

Fr. Harrison has an updated essay on the woman who was shot in the head, murdered, the Monday of Thanksgiving, because she refused to be sexually violated by a possessed agent of Ba’al and the story is even more inspiring than original reports.

Bloomberg has a story that puts into numbers what you and I can see with our eyes: millennial, skinny jean wearing, impotent, effeminate, shrunken testicle men, have reached epidemic proportions. The way Bloomberg reports on the crisis though illustrates perfectly how the issue is being misplaced.

Ten years after the Great Recession, 25- to 34-year-old men are lagging in the workforce more than any other age and gender demographic. About 500,000 more would be punching the clock today had their employment rate returned to pre-downturn levels. Many, like Butcher, say they’re in training. Others report disability. All are missing out on a hot labor market and crucial years on the job, ones traditionally filled with the promotions and raises that build the foundation for a career. [emphasis mine – MC]

So there is nothing about a young man’s life that cannot be measured in vanquishing competitors in the rat race and the amount of zeroes in finance accounts?
