This Shampeachment fiasco did not go well for the Demoncrats yesterday when Deputy Assistant Secretary of State George Kent dropped a bombshell.

We thought a prosecutor had take an bribe to shut the case,” Kent said . “Are you in favor of that matter being fully investigated and prosecuted?” asked Minority House Intelligence Committee Counsel Steve Castor. “I think, since U.S. taxpayer dollars were wasted, I would love to see the Ukrainian prosecutor general’s office find who the corrupt prosecutor was that took the bribe, and how much of it was paid,” Kent said.

Welcome To The CRUSADE Channel’s 1st Day of Year Five! We Are Reminded That Even Saints Need Real Friends

I have my issues with Auguste Meyrat’s essaying on certain topics but today he’s got a good one at CRISIS Magazine about how even The Saints had and NEEDED, real friends.

As defined by Scripture and classical philosophy, friendship is a close relationship between two people who mutually desire the good of the other. The bond between true friends transcends circumstance, and both parties are actively and equally involved. In the Gospel, Christ calls his disciples “friends” instead of “servants”: they are equals (in the context of their relationship) working towards the same goal, and they would give up everything for one another.

That’s a really profound reminder that Our Lord did call the Apostles his “friends”, see here and here.

The latest wrinkle in Schifty Schiff’s 3 ring Impeachment Circus is that it is now not necessary for the Judiciary Committee to hear the WhistleFaker’s™ testimony. “Baloney!” cries Senator Lindsay Graham. Bill McGurn at the WSJ recaps (subscription required).

On Sunday, Mr. Graham upped the ante. During an interview on Fox News with Maria Bartiromo, the South Carolina Republican zeroed in on the whistleblower who kicked off the impeachment probe with his complaint about a July 25 phone call between President Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart. Though House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff originally said the whistleblower would testify, he now says his testimony is “redundant and unnecessary.” Which has Mr. Graham laying down a new marker: “It’s impossible to bring this case forward, in my view, fairly without us knowing who the whistleblower is and having a chance to cross-examine them about any advice they may have,” he said. “If they don’t call the whistleblower in the House, this thing is dead on arrival in the Senate.”  [emphasis, mine-MC]

I have to wonder yet again if the Clintons aren’t behind this whole fiasco, driving a narrative and effort they know will fail and will put the Demoncrat party on a path to electoral ruin and then along comes Saint Hillary to offer up one more go at the Presidency, third time’s the charm!

Remember what happened when the STARVING people on the Ice Train found out they were eat “bug burgers”? Here, jog your memory.

He Aint No Kennedy, “Beto” O’Rourke & Woke Libs Crash

Robert Francis O’Rourke, aka “Beto” has ended his ridiculous presidential campaign citing a lack of funding and anemic poll numbers, but as David Marcus explains, this spells DOOM for 2020 #Demoncrats.

One of the more interesting aspects of this phenomenon is that while the members of the Squad are racially diverse, their far-left policy proposals play best with college-educated, left-wing, white voters. This is an important ingredient of Biden’s secret sauce. Black, Hispanic, and more moderate white voters are not on board with the Green New Deal, Medicare for All, or cancelling student debt. But, importantly, those who people the newsrooms at The New York Times, CNN, and The Washington Post are disproportionately leftist and think their gender studies classes at Oberlin or Sarah Lawrence reflect something other than the bored observations of the privileged. What hurt Beto most, and should be a warning to those Democrats left in the race, is that he put stock in the echo chamber.

“Conservatives” have an “echo chamber” problem too but it’s just status quo wrong; the #demoncrats echo chamber clamors for actual evil and the ruin of souls; it follows that only a violent revolution can impose it on an entire population.

Democrats have gone from promising to “fix” health insurance and indeed all medical practice via S-CHIP, Medicaid, Medicare and infamously ObamaCare to now proposing that bureaucrats in Mordor just take over and run the whole thing with the efficiency and love of the Post Office AND it will ONLY cost $52 TRILLION! From the WSJ.

Start with the overall fiscal math, which by itself is staggering. She concedes that her plan will cost only “slightly” less than the $52 trillion that the U.S. is expected to spend on health care in the next 10 years. She deducts from that what the feds now spend on Medicare and Medicaid, plus $6 trillion that the states contribute to Medicaid, the state-federal children’s health program and government worker benefits.

That leaves $30 trillion to finance, but Senator Warren waves her wand and says the bill will really be $20.5 trillion. She makes the rest vanish by positing magical savings from things like “comprehensive payment reform.” One of her ideas is the hardy perennial known as “bundled payments,” which have failed to reduce costs as promised by Obama Care.

So, reforming “payments” will make healthcare magically affordable and “universal! If that’s the case why not just propose that Apple Pay be the only method of payment and let Apple manage your doctor’s office! Hey, don’t laugh, at least there would be “an app for that”.

Increasingly, criminals are using advanced technologies like encryption to stay ahead of the police. In this case, the Ohio man, who helped run a website on the dark web known as the Love Zone, had over 3 million photos and videos on his computers.

The site, now shuttered, had nearly 30,000 members and required them to share images of abuse to maintain good standing, according to the court documents. A private section of the forum was available only to members who shared imagery of children they abused themselves. They were known as “producers.”

Multiple police investigations over the past few years have broken up enormous dark web forums, including one known as Child’s Play that was reported to have had over a million user accounts.
