Sapientia et Veritas -“”My greatest heartache is to see my wife suffer for our children, for she took great pains to instruct them properly. She home schooled all of our children, created a little farm complete with ducks, sheep, geese, rabbits, goats and cows; we raised our own vegetables and canned close to a thousand quarts a year, and all this to provide wholesome activity as an alternative to worldly delights. But how do you keep them down on the farm when they’ve seen old Paris? So we suffer in prayer as we watch some of them leave the faith entirely, some become lukewarm, some with marriages breaking up, others putting themselves in the grave danger of sin by un-chaperoned dating and still others foregoing Sunday Mass because a baseball or hockey tournament has been scheduled at the same time. And I must mention the modern bane of humanity — that of technology, replete with internet access, video games, facebook, tweets, and only God (or the devil) knows what will be invented tomorrow. It has become an addiction depriving us of contemplation and prayer. Someone once asked me just how I defined technology, and I stated ‘‘anything needed after the Fall.” Simplistic, but in truth, our first Father did proclaim, “I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself” (Gen. 3:9), and they realized their need for garments, not only for modesty, but probably for warmth and also protection from the insects which now regarded them as food. In an amazing act of divine condescension, God himself became their tailor: “And the Lord God made for Adam and his wife, garments of skins, and clothed them” (Gen. 3:21). And we have been in need of technology ever since that inglorious Fall – Russell LaPlume
DeceptiCONNED I – The United States dropped 23,144 bombs on Islamic countries in 2015 alone without one solitary “declaration of war, one discussion on whether any of these attacks were Just and not one detailed explanation of their alleged necessity. You see, “targets” in countries filled with brown people who coincidentally produce people who resemble said “targets”, massacre gays at Disney World night clubs. That is excuse enough for most flag waving ‘Muricans: some good old fashioned Minority Report styled, pre-crime prevention, voila! This despite the demonstrable fact that these bombings produce more of the Orthodoxy and thus the Orthodox that perpetrate San Bernardino and Orlando.
It’s Not A Homophobe Problem, It’s A Muslim Sin Problem – The rumors are now swirling that Omar Mateen may have actually BEEN a homosexual. Wouldn’t this demolish the “homophobe” story narrative which is necessary to avoid the actual narrative: Mateen was acting as an Orthodox Muslim, treating the victims in Orlando as the equals of Labrador Retrievers.
It’s Not A Homophobe Problem, It’s A Muslim Sin Problem II – Patrick J Buchanan arrives at what I believe is the correct analysis of San Bernardino, Orlando et al: There is no room for the Islamic world in a Christian kingdom or country as the history of Europe shows and the now lethally failed experiment of ‘Murican importation of millions of Mohammedans into our midst shows. “The policy that should result from this reality is that while we fight side-by-side to annihilate our common enemies, ISIS and al-Qaeda, the West should give up the idea of democratization and secularization of the Islamic world. And those who believe Islam is the one true faith, to which all of mankind must eventually submit, should be told that they are welcome as visitors—but not as immigrants. For that would ensure endless conflict. The more Islamic the West becomes, the less it remains the West.”
It’s Not A Gun Problem, It’s a God Problem – The tragedy of the mass genocide in Orlando is yet another screaming example of the fact that the religion of Islam REQUIRES Jihad, it requires lying about Jihad (it’s called taqiyya) and the maniacs that perpetrate these crimes are not “radicalized” they are ORTHODOX. Islam terrorized the entire Christian world for 11 centuries before it finally ran afoul of the military advantages Europeans developed AND the fact that the Catholic Church’s campaign against this heresy bore fruit. St John Bosco, wrote this about Islam. “It would take too long to tell you all the stories about this famous impostor (…) Mohamed’s religion consists of a monstrous mixture of Judaism, Paganism and Christianity. Mohamed propagated his religion, not through miracles or persuasive words, but through the force of arms. [It is] a religion that favors every sort of licentiousness and which, in a short time, allowed Mohamed to become the leader of a troop of brigands. Along with them he raided the countries of the East and conquered the people, not by introducing the Truth, not by miracles or prophecy; but for one reason only: to raise his sword over the heads of the conquered shouting: believe or die.” — St. John Bosco
It’s Not A gun Problem, It’s A God Problem II – We’ve seen this sad and tragic story before: the #Orlando Shooter was known to have become an Orthodox, practicing Muslim, and was stockpiling weaponry. It was also known that his orthodoxy which teaches that the infidel is the equivalent of a Boston terrier, causes what people describe as “radical” behavior but to the Orthodox Muslim, he is simply being faithful and while most everyone else is not.
IT’s Not A Gun Problem, It’s A God Problem III – Why is no one talking about
Catholic/Christian Women Must Resist The Pressure To Jump On Hillary’s “Glowing Ovaries: Bandwagon to Perdition – To my sisters in The Faith, tempted to follow the diabolical tide of those who see Mrs Clinton as a “role-model” or a “once in a lifetime (LIFEtime, what a joke!) candidate that must receive their vote, I leave you with the inerrant words of the Vicar of Christ, Saint John Paul II in his Encyclical, Evangelium Vitæ. There can be no doubt that we must not support in any way the worldly success of any person, public or private that has advocated and sought to make regular the extermination of Innocent human life as Hillary has:
“If such great care must be taken to respect every life, even that of criminals and unjust aggressors, the commandment “You shall not kill” has absolute value when it refers to the innocent person. And all the more so in the case of weak and defenceless human beings, who find their ultimate defence against the arrogance and caprice of others only in the absolute binding force of God’s commandment.
A Baptism By Fire & Brimstone Speech – When I hear my Evangelical brothers and sisters tap on what I know to be Magisterial teaching then defend it with a fervor rarely seen by their #Catholic counterparts I smile and cringe at the same time. That the dearth of clear catechism teaching is still so prevalent among Catholics, it’s inspiring to see it elsewhere, regardless of “denomination”. Russell Moore, at the Justice Conference-Chicago: “I often have to say you are pro-life, and rightly so, but because you recognize the image of God and the humanity of God in the unborn child and in his or her mother, you must also recognize the humanity and dignity of God in people who might not be politically popular with you right now: with prisoners, with refugees, with immigrants. And that works the other way too.” And… “If we are silent about what the Scriptures and 2,000 years of Church history has taught us about human sexuality and what it means to be right with God and what it means for children to grow up with both a mother and a father, if we are silent at any of those points then we’re really not the justice people, we’re really not Gospel people. We’re just people who are protecting our platforms and we’re just choosing on which one to stand.”
It’s June And The Immodesty Is About To Go Nuclear Because It WENT Nuclear – Venerable Bishop Sheen called out ‘Muricah back in the 1960’s while speaking to a group of young Catholics on “Youth and Sex”: “8:15 in the morning, the 6th of August, 1945, when we flew a military plane over this city, when we dropped that atomic bomb on it; that bomb on blotted out boundaries. There was no longer a boundary between the military and the civilian, between the helper and the helped, between the wounded and the nurse and the doctor, between the living and the dead. For even the living who escaped the bomb were already half dead. So we broke down boundaries and limits and from that time on the world has said we want no one limiting me. … You want no restraint, no boundaries, no limitsI have to do what I want to do. Now let’s analyze that for a moment, is that happiness?”
The Tragedy of Post Christian, Philosophia Perennis Devoid Thinking – Read this piece from AmConMag writer Noah Millman to get a closeup view of why Philosophia Perennis is so desperately needed to corral the erroneous thinking Men are sure to engage in when NOT grounded in the eternal quest for True Wisdom i.s. Sapientia. The issue Noah, is not whether “only the Saints” can live by the Magisterial code, it is that by God’s Grace the Saints DID live the Tradition WHILE receiving the Graces needed to do so. You cannot approach Grace as zero sum, mathematics, as in if I do ______ I will receive ______ “Grace credits” but if I do ______I will have deducted ______ Grace Credits. Grace is present in the world and we are given the supply needed at Baptism, the suffering of the Christian Faithful is simply to maintain the state you enter at Baptism, using the Gospels and the Traditional Teaching as MEANS to that END. As Padré Gaetano tells us in Humility of Heart: “And has not a saint abundant reasons, from the thought of his own weakness, to live always in a state of great humility, when he knows that from one hour to another he may lose the grace of God and the kingdom of heaven which he has merited by years of laboriously-acquired virtues? “Unless the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it.”
