The GOP Pass Tax Bill Does Some Good But It Fails In What Matters Most: Spending – I told a shocked friend of mine “the GOP tax bill is sauce for the goose, ladeled out by Baphomet”. He responded that I was a cynic a***ole and no longer a joy to be friendly with. I responded by telling him there are parts of the bill I LOVE but, Mike Mike Mike Mike, the devil is in details: it doesn’t cut a nickel of spending and will explode the MIC, HIC, other MIC sponsored debt. …The GOP Tax Bill Is The WORST Turkey Since FDR – I know if I want the unvarnished truth on matters of economics and the 5 trillion headed hydra known as the Federal Monstrosity, I need to get it from a few sources. David Stockman is one of them:

“The GOP tax bill is not “at least something”. It’s not “better than nothing”. And, no, we are not letting the perfect become the enemy of the good. In truth, this thing is a fiscal, economic and political monster. It is hands down the worst tax bill enacted in the last half-century—-maybe even since FDR’s 1937 soak-the-rich scheme, which re-ignited the Great Depression. True, rather than soak them, the GOP’s bill will pleasure America’s wealthy with a bountiful harvest of tax relief. Owners of public equities, for example, will garner a trillion dollar shower of extra dividends and stock buybacks from the corporate rate cut.”

Stockman proceeds from the POV that usurious spending and debt (and yes its ALL usury) is a capital crime that is an abomination to what we laughingly refer to as a “union of states”. He is correct and he’s not telling you a Christmas fable so you’ll feel al #MAGA warm and fuzzy.

“The Donald has already succumbed fully to the neocons and the insatiable fiscal demands of the War Party. Thus, the enacted defense budget now stands at $700 billion and on top of that comes the $250 billion annual tab for past unnecessary wars (Veterans and debt service) and $50 billion more for Imperial Washington’s walking around money to fund military assistance, foreign aid and political skullduggery all around the planet. In short, the Warfare State alone consumes $1.0 trillion per year or 5% of GDP and there is not a corporal’s guard in the Imperial City of a mind to challenge it.”

The cherry in this stinker of a “tax reform” is it does repeal the ObamaCare mandatory insurance requirement which couuld save middle income folks like most of us up to $18k per year… Merry Christmas Charlie Brown!

Diamonds, Not The ‘Murican “Republic” Are Supposed To Last Forever – Brad Birzer points out that the “republic for which it stands…” was not supposed to stand as long as it has.

The U.S. Constitution Now REQUIRES Abortion & Contraception – When Judge Wendy Beetlestone made her ruling (in cahoots with Pennsylvania’s AG) last week against the Little Sisters of The Poor & The Trump Administration, she basically stated that because ObamaCare is “the law of the land” and because that law provided that the Federal Leviathan can require employers to provide “women’s reproductive care”, thus the U.S. Constitution now requires abortion and contraception. Margot Cleeland reports on the diabolical ruling:

“[I]n her 44-page opinion, Beetlestone concluded the Trump administration lacked the authority under the ACA to exempt employers from its birth control, abortifacient, and sterilization mandate. She also held the mandate did not substantially burden religious objectors’ rights and, in turn, did not violate the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.”

Well, if the Trump Adminsitration doesn’t have executive prerogative to enforce the ACA, then who does, Judge Bettlejuice? The Bureau of Land Management? Planned Parenthood? And if this heinous, what I call “insure to kill order” doesn’t violate religious consciouses, then what in Margaret Sanger’s name will!? More reason folks, that the separation of us from This State must happen. The Feds AND some States are basically saying that baby-killing is now part of the Constitutional “order”. That is a legislative bridge too far, isn’t it?

Merry analyzes the “new security strategy” that the Trump Administration belched out last Thursday and finds it nearly identical to the last three President’s “security strategies”. Face it folks, if you live under the American system, you are a war-like person because we are a war-like people.

Buchanan: Trump’s Dangerous Jerusalem Move & Nikki Haley’s War Dance – I wonder if while governor of South Carolina, Nikki Hayley ever entertained ideas of invading Georgia or rival North Carolina with the South Carolina 101st mechanized. After all, there is not a possible war or war-like opportunity in our opposite hemisphere she has not thundered lust for from the UN dais on your and my behalf. What’s that you say, “I never asked for a war with NoKo” oh but you did and so did I because its not ambassadors who go to war, its nations. Buchanan knows Haley is a threat to world peace and America first.

President trump’s “Muricah First” foreign policy has been hijacked by Conservatism Inc. and shows no signs of abating. That is a sad state of affairs for a Presidency that could have slowed this 4.5 Trillion headed hydra known as the Federal Government down.

Ingrassia even makes the CRUSADE Channel/Mike Church Show’s point that political jockeying and “progress” cannot solve the decaying Western culture that is crying out for The Church to save her. Ingrassia even takes on the materialism obsession of his colleagues at the National Review (although not by name) as the saving paradigm it clearly is not. When the NR starts publishing features that actively, as opposed to metaphoric, identify a robust and dominant Catholicism as the antidote to ‘Muricah and the West’s ills, an event horizon for the future is at hand.

Truth: The Mass Hysteria That #MeToo Has Become Is A Revolution Instigated By Women – How ironic that the benefactors of the “sexual revolution” i.e. women who are no longer shackled to the institution of marriage for sex; are now rejecting all the “benefits” the revolution gained them including cheap, no strings attached sex with men they never intend to marry. Think about it: where will the liberated find men to “hook-up” with if not primarily in the workplace that they demanded entry into? In the new, #MeToo version of life, is touching a knee or exchanging a hug always the beginning of being #MeToo’d? Did the stars of “Sex And The City” think that all the casual sex they lustfully sought should begin with the sex after they had consented? Where’s the human logic in that!? Claire Berlinski has risked her career to write pretty much what I have just written and boy howdy is it good:

“There is no reliable way to know if a hug will feel sexual and domineering to a woman or whether she will find this disagreeable, let alone how she will feel about it twenty years from now. So the lesson to men is clear: Never hug women at work, period. But this is insane. The project of eradicating physical affection from the workplace is cruel to men and women alike, and if it is successful, we will all go nuts.”

This assumes that the workplace hasn’t already gone nuts. When “workplace” substitutes “vocation”, just like when “consumer” supplants “customer”, the human element has been replaced by the inorganic rote of this wicked paradigm our elite master have created for us, that we must all now seemingly live in. DeceptiCONNED: Oh But, Mr. Hall, There IS A Separation of Church And State – Mark David Hall has written an interesting piece about the Founding Fathers and their views on separation of church and state that is worthy of a look. First of all, any discussion of this matter must define the terms correctly i.e. what is the “State” and what is the “Church”. In 1789, the State was the de jure law under the constitutions of the states in the union. The Church was not the Roman Catholic one but any Protestant “denomination” that had won favor in the aforementioned state legislatures. As the Federal “State” came into existence it too had to be considered when making broad statements and there is no doubt that the Constitution was hostile to the Church having any influence on that new government. This is amply demonstrated by the clauses against religious tests for office and the idolatry of “We the People” as the new God i.e Church. Martin T. Horvat sums up the colonial ‘Murican hostility to the Catholic Church thus.

“Here I propose to dispel this myth that America was from its very beginning a country that championed freedom of religion. In fact, in the colonial period, a virulent anti-Catholicism reigned and the general hounding and harrying of Catholics was supported by legislation limiting their rights and freedom.”

Separation of Church and State is as ‘Murican as stars and stripes and no, the Founding generation did not “accidentally” enshrine it. Madison and Jefferson, it should be well known, fought for it in Virginia first (against Patrick Henry) then in the Federal beast. They won

Hey Christian Llama! Its Advent, NOT Christmas! – I always enjoy essays that provoke reflective thinking like this one by Lyman Stone. Stone begins by begging the faithful to observe Advent like it mattered, ’cause it does.

I wish more American Christians today actually recognized Advent instead of skipping straight to a bowdlerized commercial Christmas, as this passage is of pressing political relevance for our present time.

Stone then weaves a provocative path through the ultimate failings of the Christian obsession with elctoral politics and the threat that we are all just 1 vote away from total consecration to Moloch’s minions.

Whenever we begin to get riled up, to tell ourselves that everything is terrible, we must remember that it is better that America, like Rome, Athens, and Jerusalem of old, should be sunk beneath the waves than that the church should accept an unclean conscience on its behalf. Then we must recall what we are commanded to do: wait.
